MacEwen isn't even on the team, he is a RFA right now. I will worry about him when they sign him. - WhiskeyMan
They offered him a deal, he just has to sign it. |

They have one of the three largest departments in the league and dump as much cash as anyone into analytics. They also have access to some of the best and brightest analytics minds in the world under the Comcast NBC umbrella.
There is almost no other team more dedicated to analytics in the entire league. Just cause they love Risto does not mean they ignore analytics. Kinda hate to burst your bubble, but the analytics complaint about the flyers has not been relevant in a long time. - Joe Nardone

I have as about as much expectation for Allison to play as Ellis. The guy lifts up a water bottle and his wrist falls apart. I’m amazed anyone still has faith in him. - SuperSchennBros
Because when he plays he is good.

What do you want from me? I hope he plays. And if he can play he should play. Lets leave it it that.

To each their own but you want a bottom six player who hasn’t even played in the NHL in a year and you’ll definitely need a back up plan for. He’s Sam Morin at forward. |

Homer also deserves credit for getting the best FA acquisition to assist the rebuild in Daniel Briere. When he signed Briere, the Flyers were the worst team in the league. - Trox88
At the time he said he put the same offer before Drury and Briere and said it's good for the first one who signs.
Homer totally lucked out on it. |

Scott Gomez was the other big FA.
Its one of the last times where luck was on the Flyers side as they definitely got the best player of the three.

forgot about that - hello it's me 2050
I wonder what teams could use Provorov. There seems to be a couple who could use help on the back end and maybe could part with that 2023 first rounder.
Toronto
Ottawa
Edmonton
Or an up and comer like Vancouver.

Well, he was qualified so I think that means they have to sign him. - MBFlyerfan
They'd have to agree on a contract unless he just accepted the QO, no? If he did accept it, I assume the could just waive him and send him down. They really aren't going to have him and ND in the same line up, are they?
Cates, Laszynski and Alison (if healthy) all need to be getting NHL ice time so they can see what they have. |

Boomer and Hahn on Sirius NHL say Flyers the top loser yesterday. They have no idea what they are doing. NO direction at all. Saying they should have tons of cap space. They are BAD and EXPENSIVE.
Asking who were they fighting against to give Deslauriers 4 years when it is quite clear no one was giving him 3 years?
"This coming season is a freight train to nowhere"
"Trying to understand what the Flyers THINK they are is just delusional"
"even if everything goes right, they are still just barely a bubble team" - MBFlyerfan
all their moves are of a team that's given up
we can start cheering for the bedard train
who can we trade at the next TDL besides JVR we already (frank)ed up the lindblom deal

Of course, if Drury had been a Flyer, then they might have wanted him in management. Perhaps Danny was a pyrrhic victory.

It's telling that Fletch is scared to trade the 2023 1st-rounder. He KNOWS it's going to be a lotto pick. And there's nothing he can do to stop that. - Tomahawk

don't worry guys in the next few years our FA will be competent enough to draft mackinon, makar, rantanen, landeskog and make good FA signings/trades
the evidence is there! |

NHL radio is not kind to the flyers. Increasingly, they let the FO have it for their stupidity.

Hextall is part of the reason we dont have good players you meant to say lol
As bad as hextall was, Chuck is worse. - bradster
I don't get all of the good will towards Hextall, just because CF is failing. What has Hextall done for the Penguins ? He signed Jeff Carter, a good player yes, but only because he knew him from a prior job. He also resigned 3 existing aging players to lesser salaries, but c'mon, they are all in their 30's, even mid 30s. Were they worth even the reduced salaries ? They had to have Burke babysit him because they were worried he would do the same thing to them he did here. And finally, they don't have a good goalie. Not that I care about the Penguins mind you. Just not seeing how Hextall has been so competent. People forget he traded down in 2016 from Keifer Bellows to take 2 players who will never play in the NHL In 2015 He traded the pick to Montreal where they were able to draft Cayden Primeau. He reached for Jay O'Brien in 2018 because we "had" an extra pick that year. He signed JVR to the deal he has now. We never had a real 3rd line center (we still don't, but not the point here)

My question is what happens with sanhiem.
Will he be resigned. Does he want to be. Will it drag out and we get Pennie’s on the dollar or is this a trade before the season starts and we get a first. Would he fetch a first? Questions. Jvr. Braun. Tdl sells, sure. |

How was that a reach? - bradster
No one had him top 10 until a few weeks before the draft when it came out he was changing positions, and considering we’re talking about the Flyers here why should we assume they can develop him at Center when they can’t even develop guys at their natural positions? Bill’s already said he think he end up back on the wing at the NHL too. |
