I would have to assume Joker would have some value.
Add in 2023 1st and 1 of the Centers in Mitts/Cozens/Krebs.
IMO, that's one hell of a start to a package for a true line driving 1C.

Analytically he's ready for a huge breakout. But I need to see it. I would trust this team's center depth a whole lot more if he shows.

Personally I'd rather swap Casey with a guy like Copp but those are dreams out of reach.

I'm fine with the committee approach, I've been fine with it since Eichel demanded a trade, I just need to see it (frank)ing work.

Cozens at 2c with 20g and 30 assists would be a great statistical season IMO.

I think he roles more 12-15 goals 15-20 assists.

Every team is different. What's happening here is you have a bunch of kids taking over the roster that are within a 3-4 year age gap, mostly under 24. Which means you're loaded with bridge, ELC and bottom 6 contracts. This is why we look the way we do.

do you think the prospects coming up are going to need nhl slots in a few years

do you think cozens will be more then a third line center


you literally have 15 prospects coming up the pipeline and the roster will be upgraded on a yearly basis after this season


second line players will drop a line and then out the door

third line players will be out the door


there is a reason 3 centers were drafted in the first round

The Kings have good prospects (starting to have doubts on Byfield and Turcotte) but strong expensive vets.

Jackets are actually similar to the Sabres but instead of Skinner they have JG, instead of Kyle they have Vora, instead of 6M Dahlin they have 9M Werenski and then they have crappy FA signings in Nyquist and Gudbranson.

Redwings are still transitioning. They signed a high quality UFA but the rest are still short term guys.

Senators are behind the Sabres on their high end young guys in terms on quantity but debatable in quality. They filled out their top 6 without having to give up any current player. The Sabres "have" their top 6.

I see your argument, but it always comes back to what's in this system and the objectives of this organization, and without getting snarky, it's to get these kids developed to be a perennial playoff team and to swap out the weaker parts for strong adds within the next 1-2 years.

I really can't buy them wanting to let Kyle and Zemgus walk. Clearly they'd cut Kyle's celery in pieces, but he's their captain. I dunno. Guess we'll see.
