Get a top 4 RHD, sign Giroux on a 1 year deal and change the coach - it could be a very good year.

This is a great deal and shows a willingness to compete this year. Really pleased with the value. 40 goal scorers do not grow on trees and only turns 25 in December. And right hand shot which has the Gord_Wilson2.0 seal of approval.

I understand but this guy has what it takes to be a 2ND pairing guy. Not 1st. He will have Chabot in front of him and that's why he's a top pick. Not to come in and play huge mins but playing with Vets he'll be fine to stabilize things. If Ceci could do it then you can do it with Sanderson for a season but yeah I agree you must be careful

TB is resigning Ruuta plus he is a 5/6 Dman. Mason is re-signing in Anaheim. A big no on Klingberg....no thanks on overpaying to get CHiarot....guy looked awful in the playoffs.

If you are signing Norris and Debrincat long term then yes go for it, but still lots of options out there in the next 3, 6, 12 months

Murray was trying to screw PD for what PD did to him by sending him down to Belleville, I know that for a fact!

He had no choice but to come to Ottawa, he didn't have a NTC like Murray did at the same point in his career as DeBrincat lol.....he is a UFA in 2 years!

Cool. DeBrincat is solid, pure goalscoring talent. He's put up his numbers with much inferior linemates to Fiala, and he's cost controlled for one more year. It will be interesting to see how he fits into the lines. I still think Giroux makes sense as a faceoff mentor for 2-3 years, which would make our 3rd line Formenton-Pinto-Brown. If you believe in Joseph as 3RW and can cost control him a few years sub 3, maybe Brown moves in the next week. It'd be sadly fitting if he was the piece used to offload the Zaitsev contract.

I would take that in a heart beat. If we get a great year but he decides he does not want to sign and we get a top 15 in return...good on us.
