Can't draft everybody Jugger.

I'd like Bischel with pick #26. |

I get what you're saying but I wouldn't call booing an 18-year-old kid who just got drafted "normal", if they didn't draft the guy you want you can just shut the (frank) up, there's no need for that. - Pat1993
There were mire cheers than boos by a landslide but the Wright crowd was stunned to be honest, some looked like the what lady from the kk draft |

I wanted Wright but im fine with Slaf now that the centre need has been addressed. I just hope his wrist is all better though. bergevin told us for years trading for a center was near impossible, Hughes did it in months….impressive - Karine Hains
Bergevin did not want to pay...
If he would have decided to trade Gallagher 5 years ago he would have get his center but when you offer Karl Alzner to the teams, you can't expect to get a top center...

Bischel at 26, Hutson at 33....the Twins pairing.

*waits for gramps' comment about how Dach sucks* - Pat1993
He has been a bit underwhelming to this point. He had that horrific wrist injury, tho. I believe that slowed his development quite a bit.
He can't win a FO to save his life at this point. |

I'm slowly losing my mind that Kemell is still there before the 17th pick.
Not to mention Yurov and Miroshnichenko |

Well for what it's worth, he's been injured often and has not had a star studded start to his NHL career.
He's also still very talented, only 21 years old and makes us better and bigger at centre.
I don't hate the idea, I actually love it, but losing Romanov sucks. - Scabeh
agreed, I wish he could've stayed, but you gotta give to get I guess... the habs probably felt he didn't have a whole lot of upside.
are Dach's injuries the same recurring ones? I've barely seen him play but with him and Slaf the team instantly got bigger, but not slower, which is a good thing.

Nothing to do now but buy into the hype and hope this guy does become Rantanen 2.0 - Scabeh
if he becomes a more talented less bumhole Tom Wilson, I think he can be a very useful piece without becoming a superstar. Wasn't productive enough in the Finland league to become a star player I think, but he will be useful. I am just feeling, sometimes, that Slafkosvky got the "he had not the optimal conditions to perform, so you'll see" treatment, while Wright did not even though the pandemic and his coach weren't optimal maybe. I look at clips where he makes passes so well placed on the tape even though he is not looking. He has a vision, and I think he will become a solid center. Looking forward to see if Dach bounces back. He has potential too. |

Losing Romanov sucks indeed but he kinda hit a wall offensively, me thinks. I don't think it's Drouin-Sergachev 2.0 |

Slaf ain't as physical as Wilson. I think he might be more of a Eric Cole/MaxPac the year Eric Cole was here type. |

not saying he is a lock for the nhl, but Xhekaj looks good (solid 3rd pairing potential) for an undrafted signed player. |

Apparently the Habs had not even approached Romanov about a contract this summer. So perhaps this was not shocking or unexpected. |
