I saw a notice from HB saying "performing some upgrades", if only... tabarnak.

so much talk about the draft, and now that it's happened the site is down, pretty ironic lol

This stupid site cannot handle the slightest increase in traffic. Which is odd, since Ek once called it the most visited hockey website

was there a fine print at the bottom saying "most visited among hockey-related websites that have the word buzz included in their name"..?

but apparently there were some boos too?

I find that's pretty (frank)ing dumb... oh well.

- Pat1993

You are in Montreal... This is normal...

For the Romanov trade, this has to be linked to his salary expectations... Habs are squeezed by the cap and I think they were not ready to give him something like a 6 years at $4M or a 5 at $4.5M.

We also have a lot of depth on the left side...

Just time will tell how this will play out...

well, I can honestly say I was. I didn't care who they'd pick, but said it all along. pretty difficult to pass on a 6'4 talented player.
especially with the trade to get Dach, that bcame a nobrainer.

It does give us both the centre and the winger in the end.

We traded a position we are deep from (LHD) for a position of need need (centre)

I get what you're saying but I wouldn't call booing an 18-year-old kid who just got drafted "normal", if they didn't draft the guy you want you can just shut the (frank) up, there's no need for that.

I wanted Wright but im fine with Slaf now that the centre need has been addressed. I just hope his wrist is all better though. bergevin told us for years trading for a center was near impossible, Hughes did it in months….impressive

Well for what it's worth, he's been injured often and has not had a star studded start to his NHL career.

He's also still very talented, only 21 years old and makes us better and bigger at centre.

I don't hate the idea, I actually love it, but losing Romanov sucks.

Sounded more like shock than booing to me.

But, obviously, not there and watching on a phone.

To be completely fair, Hughes traded for a 25 points center, Bergevin got Danault. The Dach story ain't over, but it's not impossible Bergevin got the better center.
