Boring anyway, now with cell phones, you don't see a GM walk to another table to talk to another GM and wonder what is going on. it is all done by text, or remotely by zoom.

I do not expect any Matthew Tkachuk action today. CAL’s sole focus is to try and sign him.

Hearing OTT & BUF were deep into conversations about a Matt Murray trade. Sabres are on his No-trade list, and Murray — as his his contractual right — stuck to his list.

I can see him back in Chicago, since he was spotted at the Cubs game after the Wild were out of the playoffs.

Not sure if it has been posted, but for folks in the US the draft will be televised on ESPN at 7PM EST…

Some interesting stuff happening.

The Keith situation may impact the Hawks ability to sit on bad contracts if he retires so that may be hamstringing them a bit there.

You were wrong on John Tortorella to the Panthers. You had Rick Tocchet as the Jets first choice. Now this. The Eklund and David Pagnotta of insiders.



Last two times Weekes was wrong I looked at his Twitter feed to see if he added anything and his original tweets with the bad info were deleted. He took down the tweet you copied and pasted that MAF was resigning with MN.

After calamity level management of the last 5 years I am just hoping for a semblance of direction and competence.

Or if you have another team in cap hell and you can rationally absorb that hit over its life, make damn sure you are compensated for it. The Fleury deal last year with Vegas (no matter what his performance) was a massive lost opportunity by Stan.

Stan knew stuff was coming down the road and tried to win in 1 year, but getting a 2nd for MAF wasn't a complete loss
