Goalie didn't mention that Kaprisov could be back in the army now...and the Hawks are taking the two Russians at Yurov and Ivan Miroshnichenko...but they will starts in the Blackhawks new Marseille, France farm team...

Neither will be here in 3 years. Korchinski still has much work to do and will be back in juniors, as he should be since he just turned 18. He won't eligible to play in the A for two seasons.
- Elbows15

Oh, I didn't mean they'd be playing here, just that they'd be considered busts.

Today has been a disaster for the KD reign. He will be gone within 3 years and it will start all over again.

Welcome to being a Buffalo Hawks fan.

Korchinski was a reach. Nazar was fine but he is 3-4 years away.

- Elbows15

Anyone they drafted was at least 3 away. Added with the 6 darts they have to toss in 2 and 3 and a top 5 pick next year its not looking too shabby.

Its was a 7 year project no matter what. These guys are bette than anything in system and a good step forward

I guess KD let us know what he thought about Dach and the rest of this roster, holy poop

Those will be some cheap ass tickets in the fall

Where is that jpeg trade them all, literally what might happen this year

- BetweenTheDots

I just had an absolutely horrible thought - maybe by trading Dach, KD was creating roster room for Dylan F'n Strome.

"Asked agent Pat Brisson about his client Patrick Kane and his NHL future in lieu of today’s trades by the rebuilding Blackhawks. Brisson said they’re not “going to make any decisions or comments at this point.”

Don't know Rick, I'm a bit bummed today. Trading young players to rebuild a team is kind of (frank)ed up

Well the site back up!

I am so happy.

I love both these kids.

Go back a half dozen or so blogs where I was talking Kevin Kochinski
he has great new bend a great stretch pass and great feet speed, and hr is going to get a lot bigger..
My profile
Kevin Kochinski
Not much flash to his game, but flash in his balance, skating, decision-making, stick and maneuverability. Plays a much larger than he is. He does have a long core, and is able to eat up ice with excellent range, with under-rated decision-making. Has a strong snap shot, but so far has not strayed from playing a more safeguard defensive position, less willing to try to go in for the kill.Has an excellent knee bend to shorten his strides to create outstanding footwork in small areas. Displays an active stick and will reach in and steal pucks from opposing forwards. Perfectly times his pinches, with quick jumps up & in, and then back out. Has excellent four way footwork. Always plays until the end, staying with plays until the whistle. Regularly drops into the high slot as a option to forwards looking to get rid of passes quicker than they thought they would need to. Finished second among Dub defenders in assists. The knock is that many are third assists, and he defers shooting a lot and playing conservatively as an attacker at this point, but he has all the details of his position in place. Is a terrific on stop/start, and wastes no movement and is a guy with great timing on his puck grabs, passes, and gap closings. Some think he has all the things in his NHL toolkit to run a power play and attack, but are waiting for more physicality. I think he can save that for the bigs, because he will be there sooner than later.

But lil Frankie Nazar well he is 187 pounds and growing and a quick twitch fast fast fast player
Frankie Nazar
USA development team player who can play center or wing at a high level. He is an excellent skater who has excellent speed on the forecheck and pressures puck carriers with how quickly he takes away space and time from them when he suddenly jumps up on them. Undersized Frankie Nazar is not only 200 feet fast, he is lighting quick, creative and radiates effort-wise. Like many successful Team USA developed forwards who end up with long NHL careers, he simply isn’t all that big. He settled in as a natural centre, but is be able to play any position on any line. Has top offensive hockey IQ and magic hands. Constantly around the puck.  He will either hold pucks to create time and space for his wingers get open, or makes quicks feeds no one sees coming while in full flight. He can dial things up or slow them down, due to his tremendously quick feet and ability to change direction so quickly. He does things you can’t teach at top gear. If he loses the puck by one of his many risky moves, he goes and gets it back. Makes more than his share of risky plays that aren’t necessary with better puck management. He controls the puck while in constant motion, and make your jaw drop when he dishes it at top speed perfectly. A guy who plays. Committed to the University of Michigan.

they got two really fast players

What are you expecting? Aside from the two players they received from TB everyone that has or will be taken is somewhere between 16-20 years old.

Wasn't expecting anything, just looking at his moves so far since becoming in charge.

Thinking the whole might be better than some of the individual parts, which is probably how to look at a rebuild.

I'm on record saying I wouldn't trade Cat so I was expecting that. We always female doged about Stan not really rebuilding, even after he said he was.

Biggest problem is if you were going to do it, should have started in 2017.

Unfortunately, can only play the cards your dealt.

We’re not going to know how well this turns out for another 4-5 years.

The only thing we know if that KD is sticking to his plan.

Thats just a short term forecast. I assume Rocky is aware there will be no playoff revenue until 2026 earliest.

Yep, and then proceed to sign mid-tier UFAs to short-term deals who can then be flipped at the TDL for more draft capital.

Wash, rinse, repeat…

Fair. My thoughts are that KD is doing exactly what he said. Like everyone else, I expected a larger return on Cat, but I’m not really upset about it. KD built up a lot of early picks overall which is what you need to improve and sustain. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Outside of round 2, my biggest interest is how they fill out the roster and get to the salary floor. I can’t imagine the big guns being all that happy, and I’m guessing at least one of them is gone before the season starts.
