I gave Benning 18 months before I turned on him.

But, I will say this. The “we want young players not draft picks” thing screams shortcut to me, and that is a mistake. Young players means paying a premium to get them, or getting lesser quality young players than what you would have drafted/developed. It’s a mistake and a red flag.

I think it's essential to get young quality players back if you're moving Miller, Horvat etc. It's the clubs that want the best player in the deal that have to pay a premium.

We aren't moving Miller. Climate isn't there for a deal.

Apparently it's not there for an extension neither. There's a long way to go before it's decided one way or another. He's signed for another season.

Keep Miller for next season and if the team sputters before TDL then move him. Return might be lower depending on the season he has but so what. We need his production and what he brings next season under Boudreau. Boudreau wants him back good enough for me.
