I don't get the sense that this is happening at all, this group doesn't have any allegiances to anyone on the Canucks, if they extend Horvat or anyone just like Boeser was, it is because they feel he is in the plans going forward.

Just because there is a large contingent in here clamoring for this, that or the other may not be what this new management group wants.

If Allvin didn't bend over the barrel for Lou like Benning would have, is to me a great sign we have a determined group looking out for the best deals and interests for the club, not twitter or HB fans.

There was a sound bite the other day about Horvat being the captain, and how important that was to the franchise and how they wanted him to be the captain for a long time to come.

All I’m saying is being the captain isn’t a good reason to commit $50ish million. Maybe he’s the best option for that. Maybe not. But if all we do is keep signing the same guys then chances are we’ll keep seeing the same results. Not advocating for wholesale changes all at once, but something has to give.

what a joke of a franchise

On purpose? Any Canadian teams doing well at the draft? Not following it’s a big distraction on what’s going on in the world lol

? I was right. Half the teams had DNF for Russians so I predicted they would fall hard. They did. I predicted Canucks would take a Swedish winger. They did. But this should have obvious to anyone that was paying attention. I aslo predicted Lambert would fall outside the 1st round. Pick 30. Damn close again nailed my predictions cookie gremlin
- CanuckDon

In a draft that was going to be all over the place?

You also predicted no Russian's drafted in the first round. Yurov would be there after 80. So really you got about 1 right out of 6.

Well hopefully those are the results from Dec 6th on, because they were pretty damn good.

All the rest that is said is just sound bites to me, yes Bo is Captain and when asked by media they are going to spew the sound bites because that ingratiates them with the larger fan base. They are also saying Miller is a leader, wanted long term, more yada yada crap.

But I certainly understand the concern and apprehension, we have all seen this show before, hopefully with a different ending at seasons end.

I don’t know anything about any of these draft selections, I have no expectations. I’m happy to wait and see how Things shake out. My expectation is that they will make some changes over the summer and we will start to see the shape of things to come.

I just don’t want the short cuts to continue. I don’t want every player they select in the draft to be a lifetime Canuck. Bo Horvat shouldn’t be getting a long term deal because he’s the Captain, that’s horse poop. If he is the best player available for those $ then great, but if a trade is out there getting you futures, and you can use those $ better someplace else then you make that trade.

No you weren’t!

You were wrong on the Russians. You were wrong on Lambert. You were less than 50% correct! Just admit it!

Why can't this group just say, we suck and we're rebuilding?

I got to watch Ty Young last year a few times! With goalies having a 5-6 year development curve, we might get to see him as a backup to Demko during the back 9 of his career.
I’m pretty stoked with this. Hudson Thornton in 7th or Kmec
