Right….idiots, he’s 17 years old, a lot can happen in the next three years. He adds significant talent to the team’s prospect pool. Building takes time.

Yes it does take time. But don't build from the wings...

And you know that they were never going to fix 15 years of mismanagement with a single selection?

Got to start somewhere.

Yeah, but you can easily convert centers into wingers, but it's rare to convert wingers to centers. I'd rather have a low ceiling/high floor C at 15OA than a high risk/high reward winger that might not even make it to NA since he's playing in the SEL for 3 years.

Umm, 8 of the top10 picks are either C or Dmen.

This.
No whining just looking at the depth of the whole system, and we have 2 wingers in Danila Klimovich and Jonathan Lekkerimaki. That is it guys...

- carsonagenic

Maybe Lambert will be there in the 3rd round for you centre position, that should make you happier,

And its comments like this that I just don't understand. I try to have an intelligent legitimate conversation about our lack of depth and you get this type of answer....
- carsonagenic

So you are saying we need wingers but are whining about drafting a winger because we also need defenders and centers but a lot of the better centers and defence were already taken?

Not when you've neglected your D prospects for so long and need to trade at least one or maybe two big ticket D to be able to afford resigning one of Bo or Miller next summer. You aren't fixing it in this draft clearly, but you should be making a huge dent in it and not stockpiling high risk/high reward wingers that may never be worth anything.

I don’t know why there’s complaining. We’re a cup contender. We’re right on the cusp of being a 3rd round team. We just need a compliment player. Then we’ll be right there.

I agree, but you also need to pick your spots.

I have no idea who any of these kids are. I’ve literally never heard this kids name before. Did I want them to take a D or C? Sure. Also wanted to move Miller for picks, Garland, Myers, OEL, Demko or whoever to actually rebuild. I’m sure they tried, but Benning’s garbage is still tough to take out.

Same guys in here defending this pick will be crying about the defense/center depth and how small/soft this team is

If there was an OJ type defender, I'm sure Van would have picked him.
