Mike Greier is San Jose’s new GM? I always wanted him as a player. I didn’t know he was still apart of hockey. - SuperSchennBros
He was in the Rangers front office. |

Hayes signed for 7 years $50M lol. JG next contract absolutely starts at $9M per at the minimum. - ClaudeFather
Even $9M is low for a guy coming off 115 point season. He's gonna ask for and probably get Panarin money. |

Anderson, Mason Marchment and Colin White could be one helluva 3rd line! - mikeyo27
Is Mason Marchment for real, or is this another case of Ville Leino? |

Do they go with a young guy like Zamula or Attard and find a vet Dman better then Seeler. Maybe a Nick Leddy or Justin Schultz type UFA? - Trox88

For sure, I think he ends up around $10M. Give or take a few hundred K. |

and no brains, yeah, and all those nice things, yeah
You finally got what you want
Someone to look good with and light your cigarette
Is this what you really want?
I figured out what you're all about, and
I don't think I like what I see, so
I hope I won't be there in the end if you come around

RH Dman makes sense, especially with Bill's nugget about York.

I agree, I think the Braun ship has sailed. I do believe a vet RH Dman makes sense. Hopefully, Attard improves probably at LV, and can solidify a spot after next season. Schultz and Gudbrandson could fit the bill. Basically, RH Dman that could be signed for less then 3 million/ yr.

Attard got off to a very expected rough start. He turned it around rather well when paired with Ivan. Few months in the AHL will be interesting to watch his development.
Wont be shocked if he is in the top 6 by end of the year. Though will depend on the standings.

To me it’s just the nature of the injury. As I understood it, he had surgery to a disk in his back correct? The last update provided by the team I believe stated that they expected him to be ok to start the season but I could be wrong. - Hextall271
I heard back in late May early June he was already skating.

he's 29 years old, has 10 years of hard NHL miles on him, and he had a major back injury that required surgery and caused him to miss an entire season? - Dkos
Couturier did not miss an entire season. There is no news that I'm aware of that points to Couturier not being ready to go.

Except he's not a slow skater with injury issues. - Feanor
do you even watch him he's routinely out of position and getting burned he just scored a lot to mask it |

I'm hopeful Attard, Zamula, and Hogberg continue to progress. Even if just 1 can develop into a 3rd pair Dman at the NHL, it will be a net positive. I really don't want to see the tweener AHL/NHL vet being used on the 3rd pairing at all. Seeler in a pinch if they are on the West Coast and a Dman gets injured. Otherwise, let a younger guy play.

I still say less is more this off season, keep the pick, draft a good player and then develop him. Make minimal moves and let the kids play as much as possible this season. Its imperative IMO that the Flyers see what they have in these young kids under Torts' tutelage before any more decisions can be made. If the Flyers are patient, they could walk into next off season with another top 10 pick in am much deeper draft and more cap space since JVR will be off their books, most likely sooner at the trade deadline for another pick. |

What's different about last season and this season? Last season you weren't about less is more. Why was it not imperative last off season that the Flyers see what they have in these young kids?
