Bryan Marchment has passed away at the age of 53.
Marchment played for the Winnipeg Jets, Chicago Blackhawks, Hartford Whalers, Edmonton Oilers, Tampa Bay Lightning, San Jose Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche and Calgary Flames during his 17-year NHL career. He worked as a scout with the Sharks following his retirement. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends for their loss.

Dont know if anyone has mentioned this before but we need a vet RHD, would anyone be willing to trade for Tyler Myers? Makes sense, 6 mill for 2 years, helps us get to the floor, fills a need and and we can flip him at the end of next year. Prob wont cost us much either.

- Collect as many draft picks as you can
- Don't sign guys on the down side of their career to 7 year contracts
- Avoid over-valuing bottom 6 guys that just looked great in the playoffs to top 6 money

Every year we sit here on free agency day and shake our head at what these guys do. Worse, they keep getting jobs.

I would think that given his term, cap hit and declining ability there would be very few teams that could fit him under the cap.

The NHL draft is really random. That wouldn’t shock me. Teams go off mock draft script all the time in the nhl.
