I don't get this at all from either teams perspective. Ottawa has nice young assets - they should stay the course. It has been assumed that Montreal was going to try to build and not re-build.

Nazar Savioe Yurov and Miro/Snuggerudes kid would be a great day 1 with a goalie who is meh but isn’t 43 years old that gets them to the cap floor and only has 2 more years left so he won’t hold back Levi or Portillo.

It takes on average about 10 years for goalies to become solid starters from all i can tell.

Stats and historical data are not in their favor.

Sabres need a goalie for the next 2-3 years. They’re not going big game FA hunting. If you can get a major asset like say 7th overall for taking on two years of an okay ish goalie why not do it? Two years at 6.25 million for a team that is scratching to get to the cap floor doesn’t sound like a bad idea to me.

Of course, but as far as the bold, I don't think there is any way in hell Ottawa would even consider that.

I've been playing bass for 35 years, have a serious original band, have records out, toured Europe in 2017 (not that any of that is important 😂, I just like saying it 🤣) but I also play guitar and I've always preferred the way a Strat feels over, say, a Les Paul.

Best guitar I've ever played was a PRS, though. Nothing touches the feel of them, imo.
