How hard would it be to replace Oskar Lindblom? 30 games of good hockey doesn’t mean much. - ClaudeFather
Even when the facts are handed to you on a silver platter, you can't get it right. Then you resort to fallacies when the facts don't support you. That's what you do!

20-21 dead last for goalies with 15+ games played. 84 out of 98 overall - ClaudeFather
He wasn't dead last. He was close though but that doesn't really matter.

Its amazing listening to all the media, news, the athletic, sirius, tsn, espn. Everyone mentions the culture in philly, and people argued endlessly last year that the culture was a myth. - bradster
It’s starts and ends with ownership imo. With the endless carousel of coaches and GMs players are going to get complacent.
Comcast really just needs to f off. The stuff the PR department is putting out this summer is absolutely embarrassing. No one here needs to hear about Torts from 5 different articles and 5 different videos acting like coach number 7 will get it right. Get talent. Develop talent. Otherwise we don’t need to hear from them. |

Torts is going to make a bad team better. But there's no miracle that will make this team a contender, and there's no high end talent in the pipeline. And they're capped, it's the worst place they can be. |

That’s what he does, tries to nitpick a certain angle. And then when it gets thrown back in his face he just tries to laugh it off. There was a #2 ranked prospect pool and the only good player we got out of it was Joel Farabee. Hart has a chance to be good but right now he’s a below average goalie. Those are the facts. Doesn’t matter where someone was drafted, this is reality. - ClaudeFather

It really is something else to see nobody fired other than AV.
The media outside of Philly is openly questioning the way this team is being operated. |

That's pretty accurate. Hopefully the Flyers realize that getting DeBrincat would just set them back further. They really need to suck with a purpose for another year and draft the high end talent that can only be acquired through a top draft pick. No guarantees obviously but anything else guarantees mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

You provided nothing. His last two seasons were terrible but let’s just pretend it didn’t happen. He’s a question mark at this point. |

You keep saying this as if its true. No matter how many times you you repeat this nonsense, it wont make it true.
He was far from terrible last year, you dont know what youre talking about |

So worst goalie in the league two years ago and below average last year. That’s a fact . Keep pretending. |

The focusing on players, especially youngsters who have failed to develop on this team will always irk me.
How about daring to look a little as to why that’s such an obvious trend. |

Do we still treat rookie camp as a major event anymore? I feel like the last time we were good with developing, we were putting rookies through the ringer. |

Hart had a .915 save percentage at the All-Star break with a porous team D in front of him. Yes he struggled and was banged up after the break. Still was an overall bright spot from this past season. |

He was a below average starter this past season in a bad team, would you like to round it up to an Ok season? |

Phil Myers had a good season 3 years ago, Carter Hart had a good season 3 years ago, Oskar Lindblom was good before cancer, did you happen to catch Morgan Frost for 10 games in 19-20? You people need to stop living in the past. The only ones not facing the facts are yourselves. Sorry that’s a tough pill to swallow. Maybe Hextall wasn’t that good at drafting and a bad GM altogether. |

I'd round up to reality.... team D and goalie play are symbiotic and if one is good or bad enough it will almost inevitably lift/sink the other. Hart was very solid up through the All-Star break. Played like the rest of the team thereafter and was also banged up.
The fact that he's missed time to injury every season is in his career concerns me a bit. |

I’m not counting him out but he has struggled as an NHL goaltender. |

Bill, I know we have had our moments but why the hell haven't there been more changes in this FO?
It's downright disturbing. |

How about actually thinking about why some players have struggled. You don't want to look at the entire picture and only look at the bad. If we were discussing veteran experienced players, then maybe your point of view would have some merit. Were not though. We're talking about young developing players.
I guess Lindblom should've just shaken the cancer off and not missed a beat. Your comments are pure ignorance.

To be fair, there have been a bunch of changes to the front office. They just didn't fire anyone. Just additions.

He's very young still for an NHL goaltender. Hart broke into the NHL when he was 20. In comparison, Shesterkin didn't break into the league until he was 24. A year or so older than Hart is now. Hart already has been in for 4 seasons at 23.
