What do you think about Miller - Columbus for 12OV, Ceulemans and Texier???? in terms of fairness?? They have an extra 1st (we'd ask for the lower) They have some nice young D prospects so they could potentially handle losing CC, they have cap space and a need for Miller/a centerman/extension AND Texier is a young centre, cost controlled and potentially a decent 3C

The cool thing about Minnesota and Anaheim is they both have 2 firsts and 2 seconds - so both could move up in round 1 and not really sacrifice losing much in their 2nd round (extra) picks.

Minny is cap strapped, not sure if they can/will do a trade with us. I do like Miller for Dumba as a sneaky shake up if we can ditch Myers and replace him too. Anahiem I don't see, Verbeek is rebuilding and has the long view in mind IMO.

I think the key with Miller is letting whatever team try to make an extension with him, cause then that return isn't so crazy. It's a bit much for jus tone year of Miller maybe though.

Would yiu take a chance on Dumba at 6 mil and a UFA next year? I would assume he is on the block
- neem55

The cost, even for one year of his services, would be prohibitive.

Best deal IMO= Dumba for Miller. They save a little and both are UFA's. Canucks do what they to do to resign him.

Miller to Columbus for 12OV, Ceulemans, Texier (asking too much?)

Trade down from 12OA to Minnesota 19 (select Pickering) and ask for their 48 (select Salomonsson) - Minny have an extra 2nd (ours)

Trade down 15OA for Anaheim 22 (select Kulich) and ask for their 54 (select Lindgren or Lorenz) - Ducks have an extra 2nd

Miller =

Ceulemans RD
Texier C
Pickering LD
Kulich C
Salomonsson RD
Lindgren LD

far fetched enough for everyone?

- Brooks_Light

Interesting but why would Columbus want Miller? Just because he is from Ohio? I’m against trading down as we desperately need a blue chip prospect. But that would be a pretty good haul

The second line is my opinion on Miller to Columbus. Too rich of return for one year, but if they let him negotiate a extension that would make the returnabout right for tex, CC and 12th

Now that Fiala is gone, I think Dumba stays put. They made him a Captain and he loves Minny and is popular with his teammates. I wouldn’t be surprised if he works with the team on a contract like Hartman did.

Need Centers, local guy. There was a rumor they were one of the teams kicking tires on Miller.

Being born in 1 place and growing up in Philly, doesn't make you a local kid to Ohio.

Maybe, but right now they are still in trouble for cap. Dumba is a UFA and if he wants a raise they are hooped. I would have to think if they can't get him to sign an extension they have to consider moving him. Not unlike Bo for the Canucks.

Speaking of Columbus players, don't be surprised when the Canucks sign Kevin Stenlund, after not receiving a QO or a contract from CBJ.

1. Their #1C is currently Rosovic,
2. Johnson and Sillinger are still babies - could use a mentor
3. Voracek and Nygvist (14Mil) are coming off the books in the next 2 years.
4. They already have a ton of cap-space for an extension.
5. two first round picks this year
6. Some prospects capitol. (they had the best draft day last year IMO)
7. Think they're going thru a re-tool not a rebuild
8. Didn't actually realize he was from Ohio.

Like that idea hey? I think if we can re-sign Dumba it's a solid deal.

Isn't Dumba gonna want one of those Nurse-type contracts next year?

If we do end up making a big deal with CBJ I’d love to get Eric Robinson in as a throw-in. He’d quickly make people forget about Motte, at least at 5v5.

Gavrikov would be nice too but I doubt they’d move him.

Texier is also interesting.

Hard to say what he is asking for, but he's way better than anyone we have. If you find a rube to pawn Myers off on pay him similar to huggy and we have the beginnings of an actual top4 imo.

Doubt he’ll get that. I do think he’s adapted his game as he’s matured though. Less risk/mistake prone and more reliable defensively but maybe that’s the system he plays in helping him.

Serevalli: NYR and NJ are the teams to keep an eye on for Miller. NJ really likes Miller. I think they will get more than Fiala
