22-26 would be perfect. Nice to golf or go to the lake.
Anyone seen Vantel around? I haven’t seen him much since I’ve been lurking after my 7 year hiatus - I-own_da-Northwest
Vantel is taking the summer off. He might pop in around the draft of after a big deal.
Yeah it is kinda perfect, not too warm at night either. You want to hit the beach on the warmer days and do activities on the normal days. Just enough rain to not water the garden either. |

I golfed with my brother, father and daughter today.
That was fun. Daughter is 8 years old so she can barely strike a ball. She's improving though, it's hard to swing a golf club at that age. Her good ones might go 50 yards. |

Yeah no more biking and hockey buzzing. Taken too biking to get the little one from day care and bring her back in the "chariot". Has really helped the cardiovascular.
It's pretty bad though if I can figure out the cap and I type out things like that. |

Nice! Wasn’t sure where the ball was at the moment - CanuckDon
Stapled to a wall somewhere apparently. |

I just took a closer look at OEL's contract. He's barely tradable for another 3 years.
How the hell it cost us a 1st and a 2nd is beyond me. One year of dead cap. Pick up an anchor contract and give up premium draft capital. - golfingsince
It’s really the worst trade of the 8 year tenure. Chia signing Kosky as the door was hitting him in the ass isn’t even close. |

It's pretty (frank)ing bad. I tried to reserved judgement but right off the bat trading 1 year of cap hell for an albatross contract.
The thing is, OEL played well and it was still a bad trade. |

What if Allvin trades Garland for a 1st and 2nd round pick? |

It would still be the worst trade of Benning's tenure. |

I guess it would still be the worst trade of the 8 years.
OEL @ $7.whatever for 6 years for Beagle/Rous/Lui all expiring.
If we had gotten a 1st out of it instead of giving one up I’d be on board. |

Nice, my kid decided that he doesn’t want to play Rep or try for Jrs anymore so suddenly I’m finding I have a lot more free time this summer. I’m trying to work up to 50 yards after 18 beers |

Mini complains about the lack of a 2nd round pick this draft and then defends the trade that gave it up.
He's articling or something. |

I feel that with OEL as well. He showed leadership and stability on the defensive side of things, however if he was 4 million/year I’d be over the moon... for 7+ not so much. |

If OEL had been a UFA how many people would have been on board with signing him to a 6 year $45m contract? |

The real question is how much money do you hold onto now in order to acquire better assets, even in a package deal?
The real dealbreaker is how much money he's still owed. The upcoming season isn't bad but after that it's 18.5M for the next two seasons. |

I feel that with the new management team we have in place, this offseason will be interesting to say the least. The next 2 weeks should be exciting for our team. |
