DeBrincat to the Flyers seems to no longer be a possibility. Per Elliotte Friedman, the Flyers weren't willing to give up the 5th overall pick in this week's draft. - Theo Fox

Rumor per Eklund that Semyon Varlamov may be on the move with the Hawks as a possible destination. - Theo Fox
Raty and 3rd in 2023 or Dufour and a 2nd in 2023 would be an amazing return, but considering Bishop netted only a 7th round pick, doubt we would get much more than a 2022 3rd. |

Buffalo could be sneak in there and be a on contender for ABD. In the next 2 drafts they have 4 first found picks and 4 second round picks.
To Chi:
2022 1st
2023 1st
2023 2nd
JJ Peterka
Okposo
Portillo
To Buffalo:
DeBrincat
Strome or Kubalik (signing rights)
2022 3rd (Tor)
Get 'er done KD!!!

Varlamov has one year left at $5M. If the Hawks can net Raty or Dufour, then I'm all for it. They're two of the Isles top prospects so not sure if that's doable but definitely aim high then negotiate from there.
Dufour has emerged this past season as potentially the steal of the 2020 draft as a 5th rounder. IIRC, he was highly regarded during his draft year, too. |

Hold poop! 116 pts in 66 games? Yeah, I'd say that's emerging.
And hey, the Hawks can take Panik back if they need to make the numbers work. |

If I was kd I would want both or no deal
Islanders get Debrincat and 3rd
Hawks get 13th overall in 2022 2023 1st unprotected
Raty Dufour and varlamov. |

Ughhhh as a they're adding him on purpose or they're going to get some compensation for eating the salary for a year. - fattybeef
He's not going to the Hawks. NHL radio reported that the Islanders like having him and Sorokin as a tandem. Eklund is full of it. |

The entire list's value is low. That is why he is listening on ADB. The best you get from the list might be a low first/second round pick for Murphy. - LAHawk

Theo maybe it's me but do get the feeling that there is already a deal in place for Debrincat and for shock value it will be announced at the draft? Now that Colin white has been bought out wonder if that opens the door for a Debrincat strome deal to Ottawa. Or them getting more cap space to sign big name free agents. |

Source tells me Penguins and Kris Letang are close to a contract. I've got absolutely no detail beyond that, so don't ask. But source sure made it sound like it'll get done. And that it'll most likely be for three years. ... Again, it's all I've got. |

FWIW, I don’t think the Flyers and Blackhawks have had any real serious talks regarding Alex DeBrincat. Not to say that can’t change, but other than kicking the tires, I don’t believe there’s been much to that so far. Again, that could obviously change. |

Murphy is fine as long as he doesn't have to carry a pair. If all he had to do was play safety he would look a bit better.
Murphy + a 4th for a Second and a Third is probably fine.
Or Murphy + a 3rd for two Seconds maybe gets it done.
Hamonic got a third so its gotta be in the second round ballpark with maybe a swap of a later pick for an earlier pick in addition. |

LOL
I read yesterday morning Lou wasn't moving him...
SPECTOR’S NOTE: The Islanders need a high-scoring winger to skate alongside playmaking center Mathew Barzal. However, it’s unlikely Lamoriello will set his sights on such an expensive target as Gaudreau.
Lamoriello seems unwilling to move Varlamov. Bailey could be a cost-cutting candidate while Beauvillier becomes a trade chip to add a forward or defenseman. However, I don’t s Gaudreau if the Calgary Flames left winger hits the open market on July 13. He acknowledged it would be an expensive undertaking but suggested general manager Lou Lamoriello should shed a combination of Semyon Varlamov, Josh Bailey and Anthony Beauvillier to do it.
Calgary Flames winger Johnny Gaudreau (NHL Images).

The DeBrincat trade could happen minutes before the draft, or minutes before the pick they are zeroing in on, or whether the prospect the Blackhawks want is still on the board.
As much as I check the inter web every time I come in looking for Dinky deal, I know that this is all about decisions.... |

Wiz I think if Montreal would take winger at the 1st overall pick, I don't why they would do that seeing they need a number 1 center but I digress. I could see jersey giving up the 2nd overall in a package deal for DeBrincat. But if it's the other way around then no to the Debrincat deal. That's the feeling I have with jersey. |
