I double checked on capfriendly. Flyers do have a 2022 1st, 2023 1st and 2 2024 1sts (one from Florida). They do not have a 2023 2nd which went to Buffalo for Ristolainen.

I got the Giroux trade wrong in my earlier post. The pick went from Florida to Philly not vice versa.

- boilermaker100

I realized you got the Florida trade backwards, I just thought that Philly traded two firsts for Risto. I guess not.

Ottawa buying out Colin White, former 1st round pick in 2015. He was due 4.75M for the next 3 years.

So he won't be included in any Debrincat trade, but the Sens have freed up some cap space going forward.

Don't be so sure. Look what the Hawks got for Keith. Look at the recent trade between VGK/MON.

There are always situations that can be exploited. There are still a lot of teams that are overcommitted on salary. If I am reading the situation right (fat chance), I'd say that KD is only going to move ADB for his price and he won't come off of it. He doesn't have to and ADB is only going to make things easier/better for players around him.

If I had to guess at this very moment who will not be on the team next year:
Strome
Kubalik
Stillman
Dach
Murphy

I say this looking at what they've done the past couple of years, what the FO says they are looking for in players, and who they'd be able to get decent return on.

I have no idea on which prospects they think are good or not, but I would guess they would love Ian Mitchell

Idk…I would think Dach’s value would be pretty low. I can’t imagine they’re willing to throw in the towel on him this early or just give him away.

I get they are listening on pretty much everyone but I see Dach being with the team this year.

Davidson is doing what he should do....and ask for the moon for DeBrincat to start with and see if he can get closer to a deal he can/would accept. The issue is when you look at this roster, what other play do you have that you can move without having a smaller market (NTC/NMC), age, and skill? He is THE only asset they have where they can get multiple key assets in return to speed along a rebuild which they desperately need. The fact that some in the media, and most fans can't grasp this idea is puzzling to me.

I also read that a LOT of teams are doing their homework on Dach so not sure he isn't available. No clue on Murphy and McCabe (2 guys I would love to see them move) and for what I have also read sounds like 19/88 aren't going anywhere unless they ask out. I would have to think if this upcoming season starts off awful 19 would quietly ask out.

Should be an interesting week. Patience is key here but Davidson has to start hitting on some trade returns and prospect development.

The entire list's value is low. That is why he is listening on ADB. The best you get from the list might be a low first/second round pick for Murphy.

Yes I also believe Dach will be around . We all know what he has dealt with in his young career .Hopefully adversity builds character ,and at full health and little brother pushing him he will become the player we all hope he would .

Are you sure about this? I thought Philly traded their '23 first in that Ristolainen trade?
- GPHawksfan

He's correct.

Capfriendly shows Philly with all their picks in 22-24 and the FLA 1st in 24.

Interesting, this mock has Bedard going 1st to the Blackhawks. Did I miss a trade?

I think I can answer that, Scott.

Those mock drafts and prospect profiles and draft order are all mine.

So everything you read there by clicking, I wrote.

I can give us Connor Bedard if I want to, naaaah!

Buffalo could be sneak in there and be a on contender for ABD. In the next 2 drafts they have 4 first found picks and 4 second round picks.

To Chi:

2022 1st
2023 1st
2023 2nd
JJ Peterka
Okposo
Portillo

To Buffalo:
DeBrincat
Strome or Kubalik (signing rights)
2022 3rd (Tor)

Get 'er done KD!!!

Sign Dach to 4x$4M and send him down for a year or so. Nobody will claim him at that price.

Rumor per Eklund that Semyon Varlamov may be on the move with the Hawks as a possible destination.

Ughhhh as a they're adding him on purpose or they're going to get some compensation for eating the salary for a year.

I'm sure it is. I don't think it is really throwing in the towel on him. It's more just identifying the type of players that they want and switching out the ones that don't fit. That list was the guys that I personally don't think really fit in their new mold.

I personally like most of Dach's game. He's pretty strong on the puck and can certainly improve there, has good hands, and know how to play defense. I think they will have a problem with how fast he can process the game, hence "slowing him down". Maybe if they stick him at wing and just tell him to shoot, that gets remedied, but I just think that is a notable flaw in his game.

Welcome back, Casey!

The Penguins have agreed to terms with DeSmith on a two-year contract.

The contract runs through the 2023.24 season and carries an AAV of $1.8 million.

The Hawks are a "possible destination" for any goalie as they don't have a real one signed at the moment.

DeBrincat to the Flyers seems to no longer be a possibility. Per Elliotte Friedman, the Flyers weren't willing to give up the 5th overall pick in this week's draft.
