I think we see new buzz words or mantra being pushed by the FO types this time of year, but it often boils down to the same thing. They will be looking for players that can handle the speed and pace of the NHL.

Reminds me of Mike Tyson saying everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. I love that they seem to have an organIzational plan of a player profile and how they wanna play and everyone is on board. Something the franchise has not had in a long time.

Raddysh and the other guy don't have speed but KD traded for them. Lafferty has lotta speed and compete and he traded for him. He also traded for the plug that is a fighter and slow. All though have good size.

If they have 2-3 guys ranked even and one has more traits they covet they take him but I doubt they take a lower ranked player cuz he checks more traits boxes. Simply said I'm gonna assume they take the better hockey player when there turn comes.

When a team like Chicago is drafting 38, 57, 81, 90, 94 there isn't one pick that isn't a risk. In fact, every selection they make will be a bet on a longshot..

And I ma no expert but I had tiny defender Lane Hutson being there for #38 and at #57 (we pick #38) for a long while.

Bobby Margarita (McKenzie) had him at #40, but if they think this is the the smaller defenseman who can cut the mustard, I say do it...but my guy that I hope is there at #38 is Rieger Lorentz, Okotoks Tier !!, a long rangy centre...a sleeper.

I'm sure you know this Wiz but for those that don't - Okotoks is located on the Sheep River about 10 miles south of Calgary. There is a Home Depot store there and a hockey team in the AJHL.

Same league that produced Cale Makhar.

Lorentz just may be the type of kid that can be picked off with a late 2nd rounder or early 3rd.

LA does not need anymore centers i would still hold on to dach and see what the new coaches can do with him. But like the idea

Sorry my mistake Philly doesn't have a 2nd this year or next.

Keith is kind of the exception more than the rule, no? I mean, for every Duncan Keith, there are way way more who fail to make the cut. Not saying they can't take a chance on a player who falls in the draft, but I think they have to really see something they like about the player to justify the risk.

With no deHaan , you have Stillman, Jones, McCabe and somebody on left defense (I think Vlasic is in Rockford). Without McCabe you need 2 somebodies. Even for a tank that is a really weak left side.

Nobody is asking for Beaudin in a trade..And no suggested trades make sense when you try to include someone no one wants. Beaudin has to play well for at least half of a season AHL before anyone would consider him
