I did. That is the Flyers organizations goal these days. - furio16
I don’t think anyone expecting to have the same roster now as in October. |

My hope with #5 is the Flyers draft Jiracek if he is still on the board. Big, RHS defenseman that can shoot and shutdown opposing players is too good to pass up and exactly a cornerstone that the Flyers can build around. I would also like to see the Flyers trade TK, Lindblom and a prospect or two to get a high 2023 draft pick if the opportunity presents itself. Right now the Flyers have too many complimentary players and not enough top end talent, and the best way to get that talent is to pick in the top 5 or top 10. With a top 5 pick this year and with these trades the potential for two top 10 picks next year, the Flyers will finally be well on their way to rebuilding for real. - jd250
Do you honestly believe that the Flyers could obtain a 2023 top 10 first round pick in what is supposed to be a banner draft? Tell me who the prospect is that they add to that to get a team to give that up? |

Bill, do you think the Flyers would/should be interested in bringing him back as Ellis insurance, or was that bridge burnt prior to, or as a result of, the Ellis trade? - Quetzalcoatl
With the right contract, I would absolutely take Myers back.

Ok, well MacEwen plays 9:40 minutes on average, so he meets at least the standards of ice time you’ve requested. All fourth liners needing to play on the PK is questionable, especially when you sign or trade for players such as Couturier, Hayes and Atkinson. - SuperSchennBros
He offers nothing positive. No matter how many minutes he plays. He is an offensive black hole. Bleeds goals and chances. Is the goal to try and win? If it is how anyone can want this guy in the lineup is unreal to me. You have better in house options who still have some upside.
No it is not questionable. If you have good PK guys it limits the minutes of your top offensive producers. Those 3 are also part of a shall we say bad PK unit. |

There is simply no reason to bring McEwen back in my opinion. He is not a good player.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking as well, I just wasn’t sure where the relationship between him and the team stood at the time of the trade. Did the Flyers want to move on, or was he a player who Nashville targeted? |

Well can only go by what is currently on the roster. Either way I do not think no matter who they add, it will not be a playoff team. As you will also have to give to get. |

1 year vet minimum. He can compete for a 6/7 spot as a RH shot.

Why not? It was only 2 seasons ago that the Flyers talent evaluators had him slotted in as #1RD to start the season. How much could he have possibly lost since then. Lol |

Handedness is overrated to me. Is he an upgrade over Seeler? |

But they are likely to buy him out. - bmeltzer
Yea, Myers wasn't aquired because of his hockey merits. |

I think this is nonesense. There are 5 other players on the ice and wingers have the least amount of defensive responsibility. |

Agreed. I don't even care about the effect on the Flyers. Innocent people caught up in this.

Myers part of the deal for Mcdonagh, 4 years left at 6.75, while Myers 1 year and could be bought out if needed - wcorvette
Certainly an interesting trade, will have to wait and see if there's moves to follow, although I don't see McDonagh moving again....but, this move only points further towards the real reasons for Nashville dealing Ellis....there's no way you can say that move was strictly about the money looking at McD's contract. |

For a guy who is bleeding goals, I’m really not sure what’s expected of him at even strength. MacEwen isn’t this incredible hockey player, I agree but when you’re playing with one AHL call up after another, Patrick Brown seeing his first NHL full season at age 29 and Nate Thompson when he’s cleared to play what is one player suppose to do? Was this in the data? |

Totally. It's awful. I've read some crazy reports regarding that situation. Can only hope for the best now and perhaps his lawyer can actually help him somehow |

Google is your friend if you care to explore it any further.
What do you expect from a 4th line player? |

Is google going to explain to me how 3 defensive pairs and all of his linemates just forget how to play hockey when MacEwen is in the ice?
My expectation definitely isn’t expecting one fourth line player to carry the rest of his team when they skate the ice together. |

No need to continue as you think ZM in the lineup is not a problem. |
