Move him up to play with Zib and hopefully CK can make the adjustment to the right side - Greschnergy#4
Think Stamkos and Kucherov |

Playing with Zib for the entire year could have a positive effect on his 5x5 game. I think the league may have finally figured out how to play him upon his zone entry, that why so many of his passes resulted in turnovers this year. If he’s willing to move to right wing and give opposing teams a new look, it could work.
That might also allow Laf to move up on the left side of that line. Of course, that means moving Krieder away from Zib, Gallant would need to do a huge sales job for that to work out. |

Maybe he’s over paid by 2 million but you’re never going to make up the difference in any two players and $11 million - Greschnergy#4
We need to get past this year and see whats what.
Pastrnak becomes a free agent next year. Maybe then we can revisit a Panarin trade to make a run at Pasta. |

At the end of the day, the only way he goes is if he’s asked for a trade. There is no indication that as happened that we all know of. |

He almost hit 100 pts. The league didn't figure out how to contain him. Carolina and Tampa did. I agree get him better linemates, either by trying him with Zib or constructing a more efficient 2nd line, but the "league" allowed him to put up almost 100 pts |

My pre draft day trade proposal, let's try to get the 3rd OA pick from Arizona.
They require players, players that hit the cap hard but are owed little money.
Would Jones or Nils, Kravtsov, Nameth (50% retained salary not sure if the whole cap hit can go but dollars stay) and another mid tier prospect get the 3rd OA? |

Interestingly enough I think Panarin himself gave it away in an interview after came 2 with Tampa. Someone asked him a question about how well the offense was playing in comparison to the series against Carolina and Panarin said that Carolina was playing man to man dee and Tampa was playing a zone. I’m pretty sure Tampa went to a man to man dee starting with game game 3- Could be wrong but that’s how I remember it. |

When was the last time any team traded a top three pick? Certainly it’s not happening for the people you suggest. Don’t be a homer. We most certainly would have to include laf in any deal like u suggest. |

Think about how excited we were when we had the 2nd overall pick that became Kakko. Would that package that you offered Arizona have moved the needle even a LITTLE bit?
NOPE! |

Tampa and Carolina “keyed” him and really with an injured Strome- there was not enough support for Bread to do his Magic. Some of this has to be put on GG for not making adjustments. To me the series was lost when Strome missed that wide open net in Game 3 to put it way. He makes that goal and we would have had the privilege to get swept by the Avs. |

Yes, that’s all true. My point is, don’t you think the rest of the league took notice of that strategy? |

The rest of the league doesn’t have the personnel Tampa and Carolina had. I just think this is a non story. As if all of a sudden Panarin is the only superstar that’s ever been figured out and will no longer be effective |

In your need to be right, you failed to read my original post. Panarin will always be a very productive star. The question is, is he star enough to carry the team to a championship? Or maybe that doesn’t matter, an excellent regular season, and a couple of successful rounds in the playoffs may be enough for most. Kinda like a participation throphy. |

Right but he was playing without support. That’s why I want him on the top line. Hard to key on him AND Zib (and Kreider if he moves to his offside) |

Panarin is a set up guy - HE MUST BE ON A LINE WITH SOMEBODY THAT CAN PUT THE PUCK IN THE NET.
Edit- caps not intended 🙏 |

and Panarin is our best point producer in the last 15 years! The view here shared by many is simply too skewed to be believed! |

Youre suggesting trading spare parts for 3OA? If you were ARI GM would you accept that trade? |

Maybe not laf but you are right some young roster player. Like KK.
So, KK, Jones/Nils, Cuylle, Nameth?
Or Miller, Cuylle and Nameth? If we thing Robertson is ready.

Should be a fun next 7-10 days. Not expecting anything crazy, but you never know! C’mon Drury!! Clear some cap, make a trade for a 2C, draft moves, free agency… hold on to your butts.
Part of me thinks Strome is going to have very few takers at his ask and we end up with him 2-3 weeks from now at a discount. Not sure how I’d feel about it, just my gut. |

K”andre would probably get it done but the Rangers would not (we hope) do this!!
