I’m not sure Tampa’s D is far better right now and even less sure they will be after they finish moving out $. They won because of secondary scoring and because their fourth line caved ours.

You are confused.

If the Leafs can remove Mrazek and Holl at no cap cost they will have roughly 12.2 M in cap space, with 16 players signed. The likelihood of moving Mrazek without eating some salary, taking back salary or giving up an asset is unlikely.

They will need to sign 7 players with whatever is left, including two new goalies, Rasmus Sandin, and try to also somehow get better by revamping most of the bottom six forwards. Our forward depth cannot compare with either Tampa or Colorado, and their D groups are also both superior.

If you're into this kind of thing, the ROM has a spectacular asian collection right now, including a lot of amazing Buddhist sculpture, and admission to the main floor is free all summer. I hadn't been to the museum for many years and it is an absolute gem. My only complaint was the street meat cart outside had a poor selection of toppings.
