Still think he is a reliable 20 G/50 PT player for a few years.

But they need to find him a role and consistent linemates, like he had with PD and TT.

Last year he was all over the place and seemed to not have role tailored to his skillset... but then again, the whole team was used in a poopty manner for most of the season.

Dvorak is the Center he deserves… Not as good as Danault but not that bad either…

what if the pick we get for trading down is one for 2023?

Also possible…. Our First + our 26th for Number 2 + NJ number 1 next year hoping they will finish as bad as this year which is possible and you get 2 white little things in the draft for Bédard…

This can be a home run but it is very risky…

but if the devils do this they'd be kind of dumb, you'd think they would do their homework to try and figure out the habs' true intentions... I dunno what kind of info is shared behind the scenes but there has to be some.

I think HuGo have played this well.

Usually there is a pretty much high consensus over who is #1, regardless of the fake debates and the "experts" being different just so they can say "told you so" (and they never end up being able to telling you so....).

But with with the draft being in MTL and MTL having the first pick, and the media being all over the place for the hits and clicks and views....

It is almost a perfect storm.

HuGo seem to really be feigning not knowing who they want to pick to see if they can shake something out

I am not sure there is a deal to be had with New Jersey, what can they give us to want to do that, unless the Habs do not want Slafkovsky and they can get something (ie: extra second round pick) in the swap.

Arizona is who I wonder about.

Like if Arizona came and said let's flip 1 and 3, with Chychrun going to MTL and other picks assets going to Arizona... and you end up with drafting Cooley at #3.

Is that a bad scenario?

That is the kind of deal that would interest me.

Habs get Wright at #2, and another 1st for the next year, which surely will be better than the 26th.

interesting... I can't really tell if that's good or not, since I have no clue what the gap between Wright and Cooley is, but it sounds like a decent deal for the habs.

Very good scenario…

Our First + Anderson + our 2nd (which is almost a low first for Yotes 3rd + Chychrun…

We need to send salary to the Coyotes to have the cash to sign Chychrun long term…

Arizona gets their Center, drop salary (been trying to trade that contract), plus an asset and pick(s) - habs have too many picks, as it is.

Habs get a big building block on D (good contract, for 3 more years, still young) and a 2nd line center.

Like that makes sense to me, not this NJ stuff.

He is signed for 3 more years @ 4.6 (I believe)

No urgency...

Contracts fall off the books next year.

EDIT: Arizona is not taking Andersson's contract.

Gally can’t play on the first and I think he “deserves” more than Evans on the 3rd…

Or he plays with Wright…. Maybe Gally hard working will kill Wright little laziness (as a specialist declared this week…)

You lost the 26th my friend…

So if NJ make the playoffs you may have just swap for nothing… or worst…

I would do it…

I think Wright's lack of flashiness has been mistaken for laziness, I don't think he's the kind of player that will get noticed on every shift, which doesn't mean he isn't effective or not working hard.

I think he can be a better Phillip Danault... that is how I would classify him.

The Bergeron comparisons seems a little too much.

This is what I think too…

Gally with Wright on the 3rd to start the year is something I would be 100% comfortable with…

Very hard to say today…

Some were saying Toews…

Toews or Bergeron (at their peak) you would take on your team?

Not an easy decision…
