Jiricek is going to be a very good NHL d man. If there’s a guy I think everyone is sleeping on it’s Savoie. Yes he is small, but this kid was a hockey child prodigy. Scouts said they hadn’t seen a kid this good at 15 in 20 years. If he was ‘6’1’ he’d be at the top of the draft. Kid has stupid skill….I liken him to a better version of Matt Barzel. A 90 point rookie rookie this year, in the W. I cringe when I think the Flyers are considering moving back…you take swings at the # 5 pick….don’t get cute. There’s a reason there aren’t very many top 5 picks traded….it’s stupid. Teams nucleuses are built on top of the 1rst round picks….good teams anyways.

This is a supposed weaker draft say compared to 2023. If 2023 then yeah maybe I stay at 5 and 7.

But say this year I can get one of the top players by moving to 3, maybe I prefer taking a shot on that guy.

I don’t think your offer to Ottawa is far off at all. I liken it to Carter to Columbus for Vorecek and the 8th over all pick. It make sense because Ottawa can afford to move the pick….they are a very young talented team and adding a guy like Konecny fills a need. I’ve never seen Cooley play so that part eludes me, but as long as the Flyers add a stud prospect Fletch needs to be agressive.
