Pretty sure he crossed the center line to pass an 18 wheeler. I still ride an 800, but at my age, I know I’m not invincible.

I think he got hit by the crosswind they push when you get to the front. Which threw him into an oncoming truck. I remember how weird it was the first time passing a transport on a bike. How much it pushes you, especially if it's a bit windy. The ferring kinda acts like a kite.

I'd say both of the above. He had no experience, young driver. Probably thought his bike would react differently.

Again, no guidance.

I rode in my early 20s. The last bike I would've wanted to learn how to ride on is a GSX R 1000. There's so many little things to learn riding in traffic, let alone having that much weight and horsepower to tame. RIP Luc.

I've ridden a buddies, when I got back to his place I said "I need a drink".

Ah, never ridden a bike like that. Tough break for a young guy.

“Terry Fox died on this day 41 years ago, June 28, 1981 at the age 22 after having run 5,373 kilometres in the Marathon of Hope. Terry's goal was to raise $1-million for #cancer research. His foundation has since raised $850-million.”

Not hockey related but I was taken aback at that figure. 850 million dollars is an incredible amount of money from his foundation. 🇨🇦

Yes. It's a slightly different ride. Way more leaning because the riding posture has you practically hugging the gas tank. I'll gladly stick to driving cars. Although motorcycles me a far more alert driver.

Yeah, I’m hyper alert on the bike. I feel like Jason Bourne walking into a train station, checking potential threats, exit strategies etc, the entire ride.

I think that’s what Golfsey is saying though, not enough guidance/experience. I didn’t own a “fast” bike until I was in my 30’s and had been riding for a decade.

Yup. No down time on a motorcycle. I ride a Harley and after a 3-4 hr trip you’re totally exhausted.

Lol. You'd make an excellent Goalie. I still drive like that and it's been over 20 years since I've ridden.

I was a great street hockey goalie. First year of novice coach put me in goal one day. It didn’t go well on skates. Never did it again.

I played out my first year. Scored 2 goals. My 1st was on my own net, which I apparently raised my stick and celebrated. When my turn came to play Goalie we won and I played well. So I asked to stay there. Probably for the best.

Just spent an hour and a half with my old hunting buddy, he is ecstatic he got a draw for an Island Elk, 44 years of putting in for an Elk to finally get one, he got a moose in the interior as well. It's good to see a great friend happy as sh*t.
