I think he’s a goner. Team speed and physicality is an issue, both issues for him.

I tried pointing this out to you a few seasons ago, and as usual you were wrong when defending him and disagreeing with me.
You might have better hockey experiences than I ever had, but man you know nothing about hockey and get all giddy about some questionable players.

I like him, he’s got good hockey sense and he scores 20 goals a year, not easy to come by. I only say that because of what Rutherford said. That said, the only players I wouldn’t trade at this point are Pettersson, Hughes & Demko. Unless it was a no-brainer.

What is a Sea Dog? seriously, a Sea Dog is the meanest, nastiest, most competent mariner on the oceans.

Fair point. I usually only trust people who don't use avatars.

I would say he has good offensive hockey sense, a bit clueless when in the other 2/3s of the hockey playing area.
I wouldn't be trading Demko yet either.

I have nothing against Boeser. I just see him without homer blinders. He is a soft, complimentary middle 6 winger worth $4MM per year. He is a passenger that lacks mobility and heart. Good
Kid though 👍🏻

- CanuckDon

Middle 6 winger whose career average is 1st line production? He isn't fast but he is defensively responsible.

Another Dreger Twitter take...

According to Dreger on S&P, Vancouver is not collecting draft picks - they want good young players.

- VanHockeyGuy

Management stated this was their desire already....

Is Benning still secretly our GM?
- Retinalz

Barrie... picks outgoing for the better draft next season. I'd say people here would have a melt down but knowing the Benning haters, they would make excuses for Benning type moves not made by Benning. Luckily its just a rumor....

Absolutely carried by his linemates. I dont think he is good defensively but that appears to be a common belief. Brock was really good his first two years and he hasn’t been very good since. That’s 3 years. I think the Brock of last year and in the bubble is just who Brock is at this point. Trade him because he isn’t worth the $ and hopefully some GM still remembers rookie Brock fondly

Trade Roomers:

"Rob Simpson of Vancouver Hockey Now reports the Canucks have interest in a Tyson Barrie trade. Evan Bouchard and Cody Ceci played well last season for the Edmonton Oilers which has made Barrie expendable. Plus Bouchard is due a big raise next offseason.

Vancouver has no depth on the right-side, which makes Barrie a perfect fit. Barrie has a very affordable $4.5-milliion Oilers salary cap hit over the next two seasons.

What could Vancouver offer in a trade for Barrie? The Canucks could offer up goalie prospect Michael DiPietro in a Barrie trade. If the Oilers are not interested in prospects and just want draft picks, the Canucks could offer a second and fourth round pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft."

- we_are_all_canucks

wtf

Barrie is the last thing we need and I wouldn't take him for free at that cap hit

He’s an unbelievable finisher when he’s on and I think he’s done a lot to improve his work along the boards and defensive game, but both those are league average. He looked super slow last year. Pretty sure he was playing through an groin injury all year. But I agree, he’s going to get paid a lot more then what he’s worth. Would much rather deal him for assets and free up cap space to sign guys that are real difference makers like a Kane or Forsberg who are actually worth 7-8 mil that Brock wants

I really think Boeser, at 7.5 million, as it stands right now, will be a difficult player to move, as well as retain.
