President is one thing with a winning team, another if they're struggling. If they're winning then why not stick around and get a shot at more cups?

If they struggle it's much easier to retire. Just making the playoffs will take so much pressure off for one year. Winning a round most likely buys 2. After that it really depends on how the whole organization looks.

So 19th overall and a top tier RHD prospect for a 25 year old RFA winger Fiala with a career .68 points per game.

Brock Boeser is 25 years old W with a career .79 points per game and is an RFA.

Hey Reuby, I get there are better rounded Dmen than Hughes.

However he's cost controlled for less than $8M for the next 5 years which will bring him to 27 years old.

The guy is a nearly ppg producer on the back end. Does he have warts? Absolutely but he's still a gem on the back end. You just need to build properly around him.

Plus, they only need to pay 7.5 million.
Sounds like a fair deal for the acquiring team, they get a player who gets points at a higher rate and pay 375 000 per less for it.

Yeah, let's just move that elite talent because he's small. Big deal, he's not Pronger. That doesn't mean he's not a useful piece moving forward.

He needs to be surrounded by the proper pieces though, and with him and EP you can't have many other small players.
