Sounds like Ottawa is putting together a big package for DeBrincat as well. |

It would have been nice if the Canucks pulled the chute on last season, as it was such a long shot of making it, and dealt him at the deadline. Sometime you have to just admit you suck and stop sucking at sucking and do what needs to be done. |

Fiala for 2022 first and Brock Faber.
So a late mid first and a nothing prospect.
So if you can’t get more than that for Miller you say no thanks and wait. |

According to sources, the #mnwild have traded the rights to pending restricted free agent Kevin Fiala to the #lakings for their 2022 first-round pick and University of Minnesota captain Brock Faber |

Brock Faber is one of the better RHD prospects not playing in the NHL right now. Will most likely be a legit top 4. |

Doubt it.
He was way down their depth chart of D prospects.
I expect he’ll be a tweener.
Plus they extend Fiala 7x8 |

Your ignorance is unbecoming if someone who’s allowed to post on this illustrious site!
Just because he’s down on their depth chart doesn’t mean he’s a “nothing prospect”
Although not very offensive his skating is above average, his first step is good, he pivots well, Faber’s transition ability as the NHL gets faster is a sought after commodity!
Here’s a snippet from a scouting report I just read. It’s a year old but still relevant. Think Ryan McDonagh
“As the NHL grows faster and faster, defenders who can push the pace from the back end, with possession, are essential. What’s even more notable is someone his age (he turned 18 just a couple of weeks ago) being able to execute this skill with his head up ice consistently.”
“His possession play is key to pushing the pace up ice toward the offensive zone, helping Faber finish the 2019-20 season with a 14.08% goals-for rate relative to his teammates—second best among USHL draft-eligible defenders.” |

Ya Faber is a very legit prospect, captain and went to the olympics at 19. Still seems like a great deal for LA though

LA is loaded with right shot young dmen, they’ve drafted well in that regard and can use that to fill other areas. |

And your view of prospects is again way out too lunch. I guess we will see but he’s not going to be a McDonagh. Not even close. He will be at best a depth dman from what I’ve seen.

I was really hoping Allvin could find a fit for JT Miller with the Kings in a trade just like this, the first round pick and a good young right shot defenseman. Oh well |

Maybe they’re setting themselves up for a Brock Boeser trade?
