Saw a rumour yesterday about Josh Anderson. Apparently the Islanders are interested, and ready to give their 13th overall selection for him.

Anthony Beauvillier is a name also floating around. Could be part of the deal, but I guess the Habs would have to add something..

Beauvillier would give the Habs a roster player with Anderson gone.

Still don't think it's a good deal for the Habs...Maybe it will depend on who is still on the board at 13th. Maybe if Cutter Gauthier is still there (I doubt it)

Cutter Gauthier is a great prospect...that shouldn't get past the 8th rank. There is a lot to like about his game, I think he will end up being a top 5 of this draft when we revisit it in a few years. Not willing to trade Anderson for that package though. We can't afford to be softer and while I like Beauvillier's two-way game, he won't hurt anybody's shoulders...

I don't get it. I mean, I haven't been following closely the last few years, but there is a recency bias for Slafkovsky that scares me. He really looks like an uni-dimensional player...and his Liiga numbers are subpar.
