does terry's boy Brandon Biro get a shot to make the big club?
- homiedclown

Well if what Adams is preaching is true, I would hope he gets a shot. Sabres have a couple years to figure out there core and who's gonna be here. With the picks this year and next the Sabres are gonna run into what LA is with so many prospects and not enough spots. And Buffalo being such a young team already, could multiply that.

if they sign all rfa's they will be at 35 contracts

plenty of room for houser, subban, quick, greiss, tokarski and dell

Sure, they can sign 10 goalies if they want to. There are only 2 nets to share.

In time, not just yet maybe another year. They will pay our own players first, Adams doesn't think we need high end big money players to win.

So could Adams be looking at a:
Hague/Brossoit combo pack

I’m with you. You wanna keep the vibe train rolling you need to sign some of your own and get ahead of bridge deals. Olo and Tage should be re-signed. Show commitment to at least one or two guys that put in the work and show up to play, even if they show up injured. Sign olo because he’s earned it in a crap organizational structure. Sign Tage cause if he does what he did last year, Terry’s brown growler is gonna pucker at the payday….

Curious, what would you offer Tage? Term & AAV

today

8 years 5.5 mil

if he has a bad year or gets injured again, could be looking at 3.5 to 4 mil per in 12 months

if he has another good year, could be 7.5 to 8 mil per payday

I’ve only asked for a goalie that’s actually worth $3-$4 million. Is that high end big money?

I’m admittedly bad with those thoughts because I don’t have the needed data.

Let me ask, what are solid #2 centers getting now a days?

What are low end #1 centers getting?

Let’s start in that ballpark.

As for years, something that shows commitment to the player… 6,7,8?

Oh 100%. Expecting Greiss…

The question posed was Adam’s will wait before targeting high end big money players.

Is a $3-$4 mill goalie that’s worth that contract big money or high end?

If he's committed to Buffalo that is a solid contract and it leaves him open for 1 more big payday

Or he could wait one more season and hit the mother lode at an AAV of at least $8M per (more likely $9M per) while saying he only wants a 5 year deal, so he can cash in again.

On pending UFA winger Ilya Mikheyev, my understanding is that if he hits the open market, his agent Dan Milstein would be looking for a multi-year deal in the $4.75 M AAV to $5.5 M AAV range...

I just looked at Broissoit's career stats - he alternates between being great and being terrible every year.
