I agree when Mitts has been healthy he looked good, like a young first rounder. So few games though.

Krebs was not a good player last year on the whole. He was overwhelmed on the 2nd line. That's a big ask for a rookie I agree, but he didn't look good.

Cozens was on that line with Krebs most of the year. Again, out of place in the 2nd line as a rookie. Better than Krebs though.

Probably harsh to call them stiffs. My point overall being they are all younger than JP, so why in gods name would we bring in another guy who doesnt score yet in his career? Let's develop the three we have.

Let me ask you:

Did any if those three have a better year than Asplund or Vic? And, I think we all agree, Vic played 25 games hurt. Those three were our worst performing forwards not named Eakin or Bjork.

Wow, that's a steal for what he proved he brings playing up, down and across the linup.
Good move.

This is a messy statement.

Krebs and Cozens were 20/21 years old. Take a look around the league at players similarly aged and similarly drafted. You'll notice that most are not high impact players at this stage of their careers. Some, yeah, have done well. I won't go into the whats whys and hows for Krebs and Cozens to keep it on point. But you're comparing Asplund and Vic, entrenched veterans who are close to their prime and almost if not fully developed. I'd argue that most players Vic's age are done developing but he's been a late bloomer his entire life so I think I'd give him another year or two to see what he ultimately becomes. But to stay on point, comparing virtual rookies to veterans, veterans with a completely different play style, is totally unfair.

Lastly, I can confidently tell you that there were worse players than Cozens/Krebs than simply Eakin Bjork. You don't need to believe me, but Dylan Cozens was the 4th best forward on this team in regards to overall positive impact, and that's a statement I have cold hard evidence to prove.

You forget that lacrapruns won both the Calder AND Hart Trophies at 20, when he played in the league.

It occurs to me that Sakic could save mega $$$'s by trading/signing Puljujarvi at $1.5 -$2.0 rather than resign Nichushkin at $6.5m...that ~$4.5 -$5.0m would be a significant portion of resigning Kadri or Burkovski.

Money
1-Manson. Not interested
2- Lyubushkin $3.9m -$4.25m
3- Nichushkin, I would expect a significant regression for him if he came to the Sabres, therefore he would be too expensive @$6.5m+
4- Mikheyev, $3.75m

- IonSabres

Is that per season on Lyubushkin...?

Then the Sabres take Savoie, who would be my favorite in that spot.

You can pay me whatever you want, as long I can get Krebs and Mitts off this team.

Savoie/Yurov/Luneau. Calling my shot.

If Savoie is gone, Kasper.

If Yurov is gone, Lekks. If Lekks is gone, Nazar.
