Only player in this draft see passing McDavid's speed is easily lambert would be absolutely terrifying seeing those 2 on a line

Would you go Lambert at 16? Who would outrank him in that slot?

I'm a huge fan of lambert I see a star quality player that just needs the proper development and a coach that let's you make mistakes without punishment

This draft has alot of players that in 5 years time a lot of people will say how did that person not go top 5 .

Yurov at 9 / lambert 16 would be my preference..

But I don't see that

being a computer nerd or and old school fan gets only gets you so far.

If you don't look at the numbers, the numbers behind the numbers, and how that player performs on the ice day in and day out, you're just not getting the whole picture.

Disregarding any data, during play or data points, is ignorant at best. You're actively choosing to not accept all available information.

Looking at the data points, one can surmise how a certain player is good or bad at a facet of the game. When you watch them play, you should be able to focus on that data point and come up with a conclusion after a few games to say, yeah, that adds up. If it doesn't add up, you dig deeper. You can see why Asplund affects his line mates the way he does. You can see why Krebs struggles at defense. You can see why Cozens has good analytics despite being unable to finish. You can see why Dahlin had such a bad start and did a total 180

Passing McDavid's speed would be incredibly impressive. Nazar looks pretty fast.

So a rookie mid 1st and a 2nd year early first were simply underwhelming for you. That's ok. Frame the narrative as such, because they were much better than you give them credit for.
- TheSabresTaco

I agree when Mitts has been healthy he looked good, like a young first rounder. So few games though.

Krebs was not a good player last year on the whole. He was overwhelmed on the 2nd line. That's a big ask for a rookie I agree, but he didn't look good.

Cozens was on that line with Krebs most of the year. Again, out of place in the 2nd line as a rookie. Better than Krebs though.

Probably harsh to call them stiffs. My point overall being they are all younger than JP, so why in gods name would we bring in another guy who doesnt score yet in his career? Let's develop the three we have.

Let me ask you:

Did any of those three have a better year than Asplund or Vic? And, I think we all agree, Vic played 25 games hurt. Those three were our worst performing forwards not named Eakin or Bjork.
