Maybe even 15 years younger 🙄

I'm ok with upl if he stays healthy. That's a big if....

When inevitably these guys get injured, KA needs to make a trade...

I’ve never seen you this upset boss. 😂

But really if you are even questioning it you know it’s kind of a not so good plan.

But hey, lets get upset that they bought an insurance policy today

- Slump Buster

I get upset because they have been the laughing stock of the NHL for the last 11 years

have tons of cap space

and instead of getting better, we are bringing back a 41 year old goalie who was 44th in save percentage last year

probably 30 better options out there and we went the cheap route because he wants to be here

he sucks but he wants to be here

This presser all but confirmed that Craig is 2 and UPL is 3.

Why couldn't they come close to what they did?

Also:

- Mitts and Olloffson were hurt for much of the year and looked worlds better when healthy
- Krebs is a year older and has a full camp
- Quinn and Paterka instead of Eakin and Bjork
- Cozens seems poised for the next step into becoming Peca-ish
- Power was incredible
- Dahlin is ready to make the jump to superstar

But hey, lets get upset that they bought an insurance policy today

- Slump Buster

I posted an analysis of the forwards a couple of months ago. Pretty much every top 9 forward except for Skinner either posted a career high or was on pace to post a career high (Tuch) due to a shortened injury season. Expecting your group to replicate that pace year over year is unrealistic in of itself, but expecting your group to replicate that and do it enough to bridge a 30-point playoff gap from the prior season, well, let's just say I have a better chance of winning the Powerball.

There's a lot of unnecessary crying. As long as Craig is 2 and UPL is 3, fine. If Campbell is willing to take a 3 year deal, you can all but guarantee he's going to be the guy..

Just like the Bishop move, it's not the move itself. It's the timing. Nobody else was signing Craig Anderson for that money. You could have made that move on October 1st if you really wanted to.

You can choose to believe Kevyn Adams' Dale Carnegie-esque sales pitch all you want, but their intentions seem pretty clear at this point. And even if it works out, the "I told you so" moment isn't coming for another 2 or 3 years at least.

Many of these developing players will have more productive seasons. But they need help from the outside too.

That was the "plan" last year as well. It doesn't work, though, when you fill your roster with goaltenders whose durability make Tim Connolly look like an Ironman.
- buffalofan19

I agree. Just praying he isn't done in goal.

The optics of this team between last offseason and this one is night and day. I can tell you that. Veterans wanted nothing to do with this dumpster fire. Now? I bet there's a few guys who want to get in on the ground floor.

That is going to play 30+ games.
He’s a meh goaltender who’s going to rapidly decline due to age.

I'd be surprised. Again, going to see who comes in here. If it's a battle between Craig and 6k Injuries come training camp, I'll come in here and swim in the sewer with you guys.

It’s literally the same plan as last year. I said the same thing last year when the signed Anderson.

Relying on a 40+ YO goalie to play a lot of games is a really bad plan.

- ImThatGuy

It isn't September yet. Let's see what happens.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the opening night tandem Anderson/Tokarski last year? If it's even Anderson/UPL, that's an upgrade.

Again, I hope he isn't done.
