I like Andy. Glad he’s back.

I don’t understand why Wild got rid of Fiala if he is a good young player. Couldn’t figure out how to get his next contract to fit?

Maybe I’m being naive, but my hope is the Sabres have been lean for long enough. When did Kim make that comment? They rid themselves of a lot of big contracts since. I believe they will bring in a big free agent forward, gritty forward and a goalie. I’d go all in on Forsberg. Been saying it for months now.

They are going to be paying for the Suter and Parise buyouts for years. I think the next year or two is especially bad and they needed to make moves.

It’s literally the same plan as last year. I said the same thing last year when the signed Anderson.

Relying on a 40+ YO goalie to play a lot of games is a really bad plan.

Signed Anderson and working on bringing Tokarski back.

Signed to 1.5 mil. He’s in the plans as a backup/ 1B option.

Paying 1.5 million for a #3 goalie seems very unlikely.
- ImThatGuy

He deserves is for last year. And Terry has more money than God.

Just gotta dig another well

for all the gains this team made last season

they could easily take 2 steps backwards in the fall

So is Sean Malone also part of the plan because they signed him this week? Of course not. They are realistically going to have three guys who are expected to mind the net this year. So we know that one of the guys is a guy that is serviceable and cheap and great in the room. That's all this is. At 1.5 per he isn't going to be the 1A guy - that's all you need to know. Let the rest of it play out.

Now you're being ridiculous. They had average goaltending and a mediocre bottom 6 over the last 3 months of the season and they were still a good team. Swap out some of the scrubs for Quinn, Paterka and Power.... and you think we are going backwards?

Again, I must have missed where the season is starting tomorrow.

Am I doing this rite?

Why couldn't they come close to what they did?

Also:

- Mitts and Olloffson were hurt for much of the year and looked worlds better when healthy
- Krebs is a year older and has a full camp
- Quinn and Paterka instead of Eakin and Bjork
- Cozens seems poised for the next step into becoming Peca-ish
- Power was incredible
- Dahlin is ready to make the jump to superstar

But hey, lets get upset that they bought an insurance policy today
