I could eat tomato soup dry. It's just tomatoes. Is tomato soup not a soup?
- Hank Balling

tomatoes are inherently wet though.. unless you dry them, in which case the soup label wouldn't apply.

Ill put the over/under at 2 and i'm taking the under.
- ImThatGuy

Think there will be 3 or 4 alone in the 1st. Of course with the rankings all over the place that could change things.

Hm, fair enough. How about dried mushroom soup? I could eat the dried mushrooms before hand, but it is not soup until the broth is added.

It was 358 between 1972 and 1980, but it was in a smaller arena. From the post lockout to the Fall of 2007, it was 62. It was never as low as 18, but I do agree that our fanbase is overrated.

Whew... that's waaay more respectable. It must have been so great to see the late 70s teams at the Aud.

We talking trades in the first round, trades for the Sabres, or trades for the draft in general? I have no data on this, I just feel like there's about 20ish draft pick only trades per year (the Sabres are good for at least one, think like 4/5/6 round, happens very frequently)

My guesses:
3 first round picks are traded
Buffalo makes 2 draft pick trades (not first round specific)
and 18 total draft pick trades

I get the idea the Sabres are making their (3) 1st round picks . Also, I get the idea , they may move up a few spots to get someone they like from the USA develop program.

Interesting if they jump from 9 to 6 for nazar..

Very well could be, would hope they don't move up for Nazar as I feel there's a very good chance he's there at 9. Unless it would be cheap to do (which it wouldn't) just stay pat. I also think they're going to use their first rounders. I was saying throughout the whole NHL first round, I think there will be 3 picks traded. I also think Buffalo will make 2 trades, whether it's moving up in say the 4th round to get a guy they like. 18 total.

That's interesting, the later the those picks are moved (late rounders), shows some deep drafting analytics.

Does seem like quite a few picks this year and next.

Would the flyers (risto) 2nd get you from 9 to 6 ?

It was...standing room only on many nights.
The French Connection and Luce Ramsay and Gare was a solid 1 - 2 punch...
Then Korab, Schoenfeld, Ramsey and Plaiyfair
Great times

Jumping to 6 for a guy who will most likely be there at 9... why?

Idk much about pick valuation. I mean, get your guy, but don't heavily overspend should be the motto right?

There's always a lot of trade movement on the back rounds.

With the power of hindsight, would you rather draft Quinn or Byfield?

I think they only way I make that call is if Nemec slips a couple picks. If you want a winger, 9 is a great spot.
