A goalie is only as good as the team in front of them.

When average goalies like Jordan Binnington Darcy Kuemper and more can win cups

Goalies like price. Henrik and other high paid goalies don’t even sniff it

Vaselesky is the only example of a high paid goalie that won due to circumventing the salary cap.

What a great Stanley Cup Playoff season.
The Avalanche deserved the Cup with outstanding play. It was aA great series between two class organizations. I'm happy for them, and man is that team loaded.
Tip of the hat!

Okay then strategically placing players on IR to then take them off IR and play them during playoffs

Well done Hank. Do you see any chance the Sabres staff make a trade during the draft
- Freddie krug

I think they keep their firsts. I could see them moving a later pick or two for one of the SJ goalies.

I can't see them giving a big contract to Campbell or Husso, so trading for one year of Reimer or Hill makes some sense. Bergeron re-signing in Boston makes it possible to me that there's a Minion reunion but id put that at about 10-15%.

All of this might be wishful thinking more than anything else as they could easily just sign a bottom-of-the-barrel goalie in FA and let him compete with Subban

It was 358 between 1972 and 1980, but it was in a smaller arena. From the post lockout to the Fall of 2007, it was 62. It was never as low as 18, but I do agree that our fanbase is overrated.

Gonna be interesting to see how teams view this draft and how there scouts have there grades. Could be a lot of trades.
- Buff36

And then you realize this is the NHL and teams don't make trades.

The hard salary cap has essentially killed any sort of interesting trade activity.

One just needs to look at the NBA draft, where teams were trading players they drafted the day of to see that.

Here's the real question: is cereal soup?

Before you say no because soup is hot, consider gazpacho

No because you can eat cereal dry. You can't eat soup dry. Well. You can go eat a handful of uncooked egg noodles and let me know how it goes.

We talking trades in the first round, trades for the Sabres, or trades for the draft in general? I have no data on this, I just feel like there's about 20ish draft pick only trades per year (the Sabres are good for at least one, think like 4/5/6 round, happens very frequently)

My guesses:
3 first round picks are traded
Buffalo makes 2 draft pick trades (not first round specific)
and 18 total draft pick trades

I could eat tomato soup dry. It's just tomatoes. Is tomato soup not a soup?
