makar, landeskog and Mackinnon are part of those 5 players.

The 5 are close their top 5 players, and look were they were drafted...

Being able to retain top players inspite of sucking with them for years is huge.

You mean like when Colorado was getting ready to blow it up and traded Duchene and we’re going to move Mac because he was only a “50 point player” but then caught lightning in a bottle.

His run is over with
but he was very impressive today

- gerbe75pts

As per Kris Baker, he'll be at Sabre development camp, and Nadeau and Bloom will be at CAN National Junior Team summer camp.

More like us being able to keep our talent that we draft. It hasn’t went well for us lately.

Sabres have the assets and cap space to keep building through the draft and add pieces through FA or trade to hit a few key areas G RD without hurting there future.

if that was the plan, you don't kick it off by dealing for Bishop

Yes they do. There’s a lot of directions they could go with what we have to work with. Regardless of what we do I’m pretty jazzed up about this off-season.

Mogilny should make the HoF because he was the first Russian to defect. That alone on top of his career is enough to have his # retired. What he did was dangerous and important.

True, I'm just preparing for a dud of an offseason. Just hope to be happy with their draft.

Yeah, hopefully Ventura and the Crew can hit on a few and Adams atleast brings in a goalie.

Sabres still have tons of Cap Room
Dealing for Bishop doesn’t prevent them from using it

You're right, it's not the cap that prevents them from doing it.

I remember a lot of ppl here assuming we weren’t gonna make any moves right before we signed Taylor Hall too

If there’s moves that make sense for us,
money isn’t gonna be an issue that stops us

Wrong, it is a paper move. It doesn't affect how they are going to make the roster one bit (for better or worse).

agreed but it was very little actual cash. I still think we are a year away from really making some noise, so why not do something like this?

why not use that cap space to ice the best team possible to close the gap between us and say the leafs and bruins for this coming season?

that money could go a long way to get an impact player for a year or 2
