The Islanders love goalies named DiPietro... and have no goalie prospects in their system that I can see.
And we could possibly move Varlamov and his 1 yr remaining deal to the Oilers for something as they love older goalies and need someone to split duties with Skinner.

He is a bit better offensively than all of those though. We do need a PP2 defenseman, Myers has lost his offensive touch it seems. As long as they dont trade anything much for Bear I'm fine with it, depth guy with some offensive usage. Probably an upgrade on Hunt.

He is a bit better offensively than all of those though. We do need a PP2 defenseman, Myers has lost his offensive touch it seems. As long as they dont trade anything much for Bear I'm fine with it, depth guy with some offensive usage. Probably an upgrade on Hunt.

I would actually start moving out pieces. They got 2 Cups out of this era, so really it would be time to sell off some older vets. Stamkos, Kilorn and Mcdonogh if you can move them. Their team age is getting up there, so sell high.

I didn’t say dismantle it, just move out some older pieces because they looked slow and tired against the Avalanche. Lots of injuries though. Rebuild some of the older pieces with younger faster ones.
