It would be those two and a pick. Kapanen is a bottom 6 player.

Figured this would only be in a scenario where Malkin leaves and Miller is targeted to replace him. In which case I'd expect a contigent 1st and likely more. Rutherford will sometimes overpay for his fixated trade targets. Curious to see how he does with you guys. Couldn't be worse than Benning.

I think the circumstances are completely different though, in Pittsburgh he was aggressively chasing cups, in Vancouver he needs to completely retool or even rebuild the franchise before they’re a Stanley Cup competitive team.

It's amazing that people don't recognize the difference but context is like a unicorn in here.

Whereas crying and whining, that’s just as common as dogs and cats.

How would you all view Miller for Marino and Kapanen? Guessing both fan bases dislike it.

A 3rd pairing defenseman and a speedy 4th liner isn't going to cut it.
Not sure Pittsburgh has the pieces the Canucks are looking for, or at least should be looking for.

I am hoping that Gaudreau ends up a Flyer, they love the overrated players there.
Ie: Giroux Hayes Voracek, etc

Closer to home but you’d have to be crazy to sign with them. He wants a chance to win and it won’t be with them.

Like the Canucks, the Flyers have been poorly run for at need to rebuild for the 2nd time in a decade.
Poor ownership and management structure leads to constant struggles on the ice.

The only way it makes sense for a top 4 dman. If Marino isn’t that we should look elsewhere. Minni, New York and Boston all have some decent looking young d.

He’d have to be coaching the Avalanche because they’re about to go a an 80’s Islanders like run.

Yes very different going from a contender to a pretender. However, he was quote consistent from CAR to PIT. Bingo was able to predict many of his moves in fact.

The thing is Phillys lineup isn’t that bad. They have the toughest division in hockey though. We will see how much of the band is back for Colorado, but they certainly could! I’m one win away from winning I nice little future bet here, me likey!

Inadequate perhaps but at least pretend to know something. Which depth D plays 20+ minutes with the hardest team deployment? Where are the 4RWs that average .47 pts/G.?

The guy was clueless. He set the club back a few years with his dumb deals and signings.

What are your qualifications? Because people with less “qualifications” than them are in.

Henrik is a lock with a Hart Trophy and over 1000 points, which only 93 players in league history have accomplished. Only three players who’ve won the Hart Trophy aren’t in the HHOF. Three goaltenders…Tommy Anderson (NYR 1941/42), Al Rollins (CHI 1953/54), and Jose Theodore (MTL 2001/02).

- LeftCoaster

Henrik is definitely closer. Daniel I dont think has it. But he’ll prolly get in as they’ll go in as a pair.

Not sure if any of you have been watching the Memorial Cup, but it has produced some pretty good hockey games.
Saint John Sea Dogs advanced today and are a pretty nice hockey team. They have 3 players, 2 on defense, that somehow were overlooked by the previous regime, 1 defenseman was taken in the 2nd one defenseman in the 3rd, both by the Flames, and the forward who happened to score 4 goals today, and has been a force all tournament, was taken in the 5th round by the Islanders.

That is what happens when you focus in only 1 or 2 regions, and pay very little attention to other regions, like the previous regime had done.

Did they focus on the CHL, SHL, USDL, NCAA or Russia? Or they picked from all of those(cause they did), but only focused on one?!
