You complained all three would not be, along with Donny and the rest of the hate brigade. You’re used to being wrong by now though. - neem55
Feel free to show me the quotes because I have never claimed the Sedins wouldn't be Hall of Famers. They were easily 2 of the best players the Canucks have ever had and they were among the best in the league for a few years but continue to make shit up.

First Ballot being an important factor. You have a great ability to change your position after it’s shown wrong. Must be why you’re so successful and well liked.

Stop being Pedantic, you’re embarrassing yourself. No one gives a shit who said what. I’m just thinking it’s well deserved that they got in first ballot

Imagine leading the pack on suggesting players would go to the hall the season after they went to the finals.
The Sedins were the best PP players in the game when they were using that strategy minus maybe Ovechkin and Crosby.
Engergy guys need to be able to handle themselves physically, at least a few of them. That includes bottom pairing D. - golfingsince
My comment was based on you saying keep the Sedins and learning the right way. I beg to differ and IDGAF about someone trying to claim that it isn't someone's job.
When it comes to a scrum, you DO NOT turn your back on the situation and you get involved, or you become like the gutless Vancouver Canucks, oh wait.

We're coming out of 8 years of Jim (frank)ing Benning.
If you don't think there was some deserved negativity over that stretch then I have some glitter for sale.
Boneheaded move after boneheaded move leading us to where we are now. An overpriced team with a little bit of elite talent and a shallow prospect pool.
Blame anyone else all you want, Benning is one of if not the longest tenured GM in franchise history.

There are many things to learn the right way. Being a professional, bringing a consistent effort, offseason regimen.....you name it.
It sure helps having players on your team to reinforce the areas where you are lacking. Again, not being shorthanded personnel wise changes the narrative. The twins made people pay shorthanded their entire careers.
Again, no depth. ( at C, once Malholtra went down ) Where else was the scoring coming from?
Name the guy with the most Canuck penalty minutes that year. It's not their job to be enforcers. Having guys like Chara and Lucic make everyone much tougher. That doesn't mean the finals were officiated correctly.

I think this was a playoff calibre team this year, but the fact is we weren't. The bubble looked like a team that could beat most, but we seem to have not been the same since.

Again, show me the quotes.
Just because you keep repeating it, doesn't make it true, Donald.

I think the bubble team looked like a team that could beat most....in a bubble?
Prior to the shutdown they looked like they wouldn't even make it. They were spent. That same youth that was worn down by the regular season recovered quickly during the down time.
Unfortunately, seasons are a grind and rarely is that time off afforded.
Regardless, our prospect system is wanting as is our pro team. 8 Years, 1 outright playoff birth. That came largely with an inherited team. The changes following Benning's dismissal are what nearly led to a playoff birth last season.

Put your word of the day dictionary back in it's holster there Sherrif. You're ruining a perfectly good fight before any real hate can develop.

Typical goalie, you fuckers wouldn’t ever get involved in a good dust-up, you just like to watch. #pussies

I don’t know, I prefer scrupulous, precise or exacting. Your narrow mindedness on this subject reflects your lack of attention to detail and my superior wordsmithiness.
GM Jim Benning and President Trevor Linden use the #6 overall pick in the draft to select Abbotsford native Jake Virtanen, missing out on Nylander, Pasterňák, & Ehlers.
Virtanen spent 6y in VAN, before being bought out amidst a criminal investigation.

Laughs on you who was the biggest fan of that pick in here at the time of the draft.
