I'm aware of that. I'm also aware of what Tortorella does when he first arrives on a team.

Has he ever said other teams locker rooms he took over were fractured? Asking as I do not recall.

Disagree that Giroux was virtually invisible in the playoffs. That's not correct. That 04 team was 1st in the division and 3rd overall in the Eastern conference. LOL. They had talent and Primeau had a quality supporting cast. Blaming Giroux for the last decade in any manner is asinine.
- MJL

So you do not think he has any part in why this team has been bad?

I am of the belief Torts has talked to Atkinson extensively. So the comments he has made imo are not of the just throwing stuff out there for effect. My guess he trusts Cam and his opinion.

Plus we all saw what Cam has stated prior to the hiring.

THIS is a very good point! Atkinson was probably shocked at the country club atmosphere in the Philly locker room after playing for Torts and that's why he advocated for his hiring. Wonder what reply boy wonder will have for this comment?

The most surprising part of Farabee's surgery is that they didn't wait until camp opened.

So there's always a silver lining when you're a Philly fan, amirite?

It’s surprising to me that after watching him play 1000 for this team people still ask these types of questions. No, Giroux was never part of the problem!

As you said it is amazing after watching 1000 games you think he is blameless. To give him a pass is incorrect.

calling Giroux a country clubber is like calling you an intellectual behemoth

By the way, do you still think that Trotz dissed the Flyers by not taking their job offer? Looks like I was right once again, but then again I shouldn't pump out my chest too much when I'm going against you in hockey knowledge. Best stick to those Sixas!

I'm surprised they didn't wait until opening day to perform Farabee's surgery? The Flyers medical team needs a check up from the neck up......

While I don't think he is a perfect player. Overall, no I don't think he had any part in why the team has been bad. He is one of the best Flyers in franchise history

It’s awfully curious when a few posters have the same writing style, sentence structure, cadence, opinions, boasts, and level of comprehension. Especially when they share the same targets of their anger, be that person a current or former Flyer, or just a poster to the forum.

I think Tortorella probably talked to a number of players. Yet still, he was not there. When you have a team that had a season like the Flyers had. There is going to be frustration and negative emotion. That's just normal. What that doesn't mean though is that a potential fractured locker room was the cause of a poor season. In my view, coaching, injuries and lack of talent is why they had the season they did. Any fracturing of the room is just a symptom of those major issues plaguing the team. Tortorella is going to come in and break everything down. Knock it down to the ground and start over. Which is good. He is going to see everything negatively so he can change it and enforce his way.

Disagree as he has had a hand it. His talent isn’t being questioned. Other areas where he could have made a impact.

I am taking about the Flyers players only. I don’t think he talked to any of them prior except for Cam. Yes he was not there obviously, he is basing it on Info he has gathered; from Cam. This is just my thought process.

This team needs it knocked down to the ground; and then some.

I'm talking about Flyers players only also. I think he's basing it on what happens with a losing team based on his experience rather than talking to any particular player on the Flyers.
