I watched part of it, did you mean Jan Mysak? ... we drafted him (2nd round #48 overall). The kid has some nice skills and looks good from the little I've seen. Definitively not NHL ready ... he'll needs some time in the AHL for sure.

As for Arber Xhekaj, can't say I noticed him much ... but then again, I wasn't paying much attention to the game.

EDIT: After further research, I didn't realize the Habs had signed Xhekaj as well ... I'll need to take a good look at him next game.

No wonder I had never heard of him ... he has good size.
I'll need to watch him more closely.

yes, good size, hits very hard.
I think he'll need to improve his skating to make it to Mtl though.

He's 21 ... if that is the case (skating) then I doubt he can improve his skating much at this point. Michael McCarron should serve as a reminder.

I'm obviously passing an arbitrary judgement on a player I've never watched play ... but he sounds like an AHL player.

There must be a reason he was never drafted ...

Could be because no one could pronounce his name at the podium or spell his name for the draft card.

yeah cause they think every year that the mean WHL team will brutalize the other teams.
- mr.peanut

People also think the WHL is still a defensive juggernaut despite being the worst defensive league of the three and filled with overagers pumping out 120 point seasons.

Saw a sequence where he outskated the opposite D and scored a solo power move backhander in the top shelf. For the few game highlights I saw from him, he is more talented that the regular undrafted player. Me feeling is that he has everything to become a steady 3rd pairing D, with a good mix of physicality and overall skill.

The internet told me he shoots from the left.

I think Barron is a RHD. Same for Mailloux.
