Real talent..

I was very fortunate to see Petty live before he passed. A good friend worked at a Hydrovac company and they had club season seats at the Saddledome which were very rarely used. Saw some great acts there for free lol. Petty, Clapton, Van Halen, and a host of others.

Mike Campbells band the Dirty Knobs is good as well, touring with Chris Stapleton right now.

So Jean Perron, through Nemec's agent, says he hears the Habs are taking Slafkovsky. An NHL scout told me yesterday that the hot rumour at his club's scouting meetings last week was that the Habs were "afraid to take Wright" and are going to draft Cooley. Let the games begin!

For some reason Wright reminds me of 18-year-old Sam Bennett.
How good has Palat been for Tampa. Damn that kids good. He’s having more of an impact in the finals than any other Tampa forward. 7th round pick. - LeftCoaster
Palat is a nice player, as is Cirelli, and all of the Tampa and Colrado players, minus Jack Johnson, who I am not a fan of, even though he is big.
Hopefully people realize I was being facetious, when I posted that.

According to Friedman, he doesn’t understand why people didn’t think the JT Miller situation would trend toward a trade. Says he’s fascinated with the Washington Capital situation.
80's metal and Arena Rock was dying a rapid death. They sell out everywhere again now and great to see the kids embracing it but is was sad for awhile there. I saw Metallica in the late 80's as well and the crowd literally booed the Cult off the stage as they were the opening act. A very bad match by the concert promoters at that time lol - LordHumungous
I was at that show in Vancouver. One of the best shows I ever saw.

More Twitter stuff on JTM..
Elliotte mentions he's not sure why people are surprised Nucks are fielding offers on Miller.
"I don't understand how anybody can think it isn't going that way (trade)...I think there is going to be a lot of interest...I think there's a quite a few teams kicking around Miller"

Who's surprised?
There are people that don't want him to be traded but even they aren't surprised they are taking calls on him.
@Lefty, after a 5 minute video of Wright and watched a draft profile video of Sam Bennett. I don't quite see the similarity. Maybe a tiny bit but Bennett was more power. I thought maybe Tyler Seguin but his game was more speed. Then I poked around Nazem Kadri again didn't quite have the vibe.
Wright's game is his intelligence. Not as if the other tools are lacking but he is smart. Just like Bergeron I'd say.

Lefty says any moron can pick a good player inside the top 5.
Chicago won after he was demoted then fired. Florida is now one of the best teams in the league after he was fired. - manvanfan
He was a big part in laying the foundation though. Which is why they still gave him a ring after their first Cup.
He seems a bit of a bumbling idiot when it comes to understanding the league rules and the logistics of the business side of things.
Picking Patrick Kane first overall when everyone had question marks about him and his size turned out to be a brilliant move on his part. Toews too, franchise changing picks!

I love this.
Even if untrue, it makes for good drama.
Do the Habs go the safe route or gamble again like they did with Kotktiemi.

He'll do the same here when he takes over the scouting department.

He was still a "senior advisor" when they won the cup the first time.
Great picks, both looking back were sort of no brainer picks.
Back then obviously you had to be a giant to play hockey.

A lot of people talked about Nolan Patrick going first overall till NJ was rumoured to be picking Hischier last minute and did. Flyers didn't want Patrick but stupid GM did.
Maybe Wright is this years Patrick and ends up going 4th or 5th or something.
