Unlucky…..Makar never got away from Benning, just so we’re clear 70
- LeftCoaster

ASL set me straight, you had heat stroke earlier.

But if you would like to go there, if Benning tanked better he could have had that pick…

It’s important that you all know: Tallon is the new Bracket. There are no Rutherford or Allvin picks. Management teams do not make decisions collaboratively and, most importantly, Sakic didn’t draft anyone it was some other guy in the organization like a scout or something making the call.

Tallon is Pro scouting, nothing to do with draft picks.

OK, he hired him?

I mean Doug Wilson recommended him.....what's his punishment?

- golfingsince

No more recommending people to others.

Other than putting black shoe polish in his hair he wasn’t really good at much

If you look at all of the experience of this new regime it's impressive.

It is. I’m surprised Aquilini is allowing it but he’s clearly taken a step aside and left the hockey ops to Rutherford.

If you let Aquilini into the kitchen his feet some how end up in the soup.

Nick Paul was a great add for the Bolts, is he a UFA at season end? Wonder what he would cost.

It's the first time he's hired someone with actual experience. Gillis then Benning prior to Rutherford.

Apparently Scott Young is supposed to be a great pickup.

Rutherford is well respected, the org may just turn out to be a good one after all these years!

At least he's putting his GM in a position to succeed. Linden was another bad hire.

This one is surrounding his GM with experience and young talent.

Because he would never keep his nose out of hockey ops. He finally relented.

Sakic told Linden to do a proper re-build, Aquilini & Benning had different ideas.

that worked out well, I'm going to win with Bo Horvat as my 22 year old #1C. Surround him with very little, especially on his line.

Looks like he's on his way out...

Rutherford:

“With J.T. Miller, we’ve suggested we would like to keep him. He’s been a good player for the Canucks, (But) it may not make sense for both sides. This is a time that he’s earned, going into free agency. We’d like to do it but we’ve got to be careful.”

- VanHockeyGuy

Hopefully he isn't the only one.
