GM Jim Benning uses the #5 overall pick to select defenseman Olli Juolevi from the London Knights, one spot ahead of Matthew Tkachuk.

Juolevi has played 41 games in the 6 years since he was drafted and registered 3 NHL points.

Jim Rutherford on Dale Tallon hiring - He is a good hockey person, he is going to help us in pro scouting. We checked with the NHL and the league gave us the thumbs up. Patrik and I have both talked to Dale and are looking forward to him joining our group.
