Really think it depends on how the draft falls. Sabres have only drafted 5 goalie's in the last 10yrs, only 1 is in the Organization right now. They shouldn't have to go and sign a scrub.

Our prospect center depth is beyond poor. At least two of those four first picks need to be primary center and RHD.

Any RHD in the first and probably 2nd round is better than the rest we have.

This is Brandon Beane mentality, the get versatile, smart players. Projection matters too, but to get a guy who can play multiple lines, multiple positions, that poop gets their pants tight.

I kinda think it's a good thing, drafting versatile players.

Especially when your projecting these kids 3 or 4 years out.

Hard to criticize what the Bill's are doing. I heard the Sabres/ KA are really trying to "catch" the process.

I also heard the structures were set up similar, with the coaches having more say in players compared to traditional roles.

KA is managing generally , which is why he was hired.
Smart guy that puts others in positive positions to make the right choices.
KA has been groomed for years....
