Coaching in the NHL.... get fired, sign a bigger contract with another club, til you get fired and sign an even bigger contract with the following club....
Seems like the same coaches over and over.
Nothing against DeBoer, but it would be nice to see teams try something different once in a while, rather than (probably try to) (frank) over a guy like Brunette.
I mean, maybe Brunette turns into the next DD... or maybe he does not. - Mashadar
I really don't like trying to call people out or arguing on the internet, and I mean no harm here Mash, but wasn't it you that seemed pretty down on MSL being the head coach for Montreal because of a lack of experience and fit? If I'm wrong on this my apologies. |

Necas stays unless they can flip him in a package for a top-end scorer.
D will be mostly unchanged. Probably sign a depth guy and hope one of the prospects steps up big time. |

Dalton Thrower...I had good hopes. The guy never lived up to his draft year offensive production. I remember he had an ankle injury that kept coming back. - stinger67
Nathan Beaulieu.
I was so (frank)ing psyched when we drafted him. It seemed like a sure thing powerplay quarterback for the next decade and I couldn't believe he fell all the way to #17.
But then, it turned out that despite all his skill... the guy is a complete idiot.
Such a shame.

And our boy KK in the top 6?
I'm having a hard time justifying keeping him in my keeper's league.

I expect it to look something like:
???? - Aho - Jarvis
Svechnikov - Kotkaniemi - Teravainen
Niederreiter - Staal - Fast
Leivo - Drury - Lorentz
But Jake Gardiner getting cleared to play again throws a big wrench into things.

so out of the 10, only Beaulieu managed to become a 3rd pairing dman, and Lekhonen a bottom6 winger.
and people wonder why Habs suck |

Can but Brind'amour prefers guys play Wing for a couple years before they play C.
That's part of the contention with Necas right now. He wants to play C but Brind'amour prefers him as a winger. |

There is a difference between looking for new coaching voice that have never coached in the NHL, but elsewhere vs someone that has virtually zero coaching experience anywhere.
I like the enthusiasm MSL brings and his expectations for offence and type of play, but I am not sure he is a long-term solution unless he learns fast or gets some experience on that staff that can help him learn. |

(frank)in guy is a menace. It's annoying that every year they have to take away a couple of his pets because he refuses to stop playing dippoop grinders too much.
It'll be Martinook this year. |
