Man, good question. I could spend hours on this one.
Personally, it all comes down to supply management. It's great in that it fills the demand without greatly over producing and wasting resources, all the while helping guarantee a sustainable price to the farmers. But, and I may not be in the majority on this one...., but the downside being trying to create a system that incorporates and covers all fairly usually means you drag along dead wood. Everything has to be the same, which doesn't allow for new marketing ideas, new products etc very easily, if at all. So things like grass fed standards, a2 milk, high component milk etc can only be done on a very small scale, which is fine, just that many grocery chains now adays want companies and products that can supply them across the country. So beyond milk, local food supply needs help and a way to get to the general consumer in a consistent manner. Did you know 90% of groceries in canada go through 5 main food retailers. They have a scary hold on food pricing and contracts, and can be horrible to deal with. Ag canada is starting to push back with demands on grocery code of conducts to the government, which is what happened in many parts of Europe about 4 maybe 5 years ago.

interesting, and rather concerning... anyway you make a good point with your dragging dead wood analogy, I guess it's similar to having a salary cap among competitive markets, while your retarded cousin in Arizona can't help but humiliate himself and doesn't really do poop about it to get better.

Ah man, good luck. Couple close friends here at home doing the same thing, and I can't believe the crap I hear from them on what the kids are like. Seems like since their return from covid, they're even worse. I just don't get parents today and this theory that there kid can't do any wrong. I'd have been sent to pick 50 acres of rock if I tried the crap I hear about today.

it would kinda suck for the "entertainment" factor, but an unanticipated sweep would be awesome.
- Pat1993

won't be a sweep.

Ya, we have a lot of issues with the covid gen. Kids in grade 9 now who should have failed at least once, but because of covid they kept getting promoted.

And parents are the big issue nowadays. Parents of a kid had to have a meeting with all their child's teachers (including me) we explain all the issues while being calm and polite. Parents freak out and claim we're bullies, have no sense of humour and depriving their child of an education.

Got to love the fact that the Avs are absolutely dominating and that’s while missing two big pieces of their line up in Kadri and Girard, that’s impressive depth

Won’t count TB out yet, freaking Vasilesky always has a way to turn it up and not to mention Kucherov who is the most annoying player. Would much rather see Lekhonen raise the cup than Perry and particularly Sergachev
