Hughes really seems to maximize value. I like it. Doesnt trade away picks for nothing, ship a long term project out of town for a veteran that can help relegate hoffman to the 4th line and can be traded for assets at the trade deadline.

yeah I know, it's just that last year was so (frank)ing depressing, I don't want to see that kind of hockey again.

I wonder if next year's draft will be deep, or if it's a case of having an amazing level of talent in the top 3, then getting a bit more "normal" after that...

I know he isn't the worst coach in history, but it's as though literally no one wants to coach in PHI or something, unless they actually consider him as the best possible option available...

damn... I still won't cheer for losses but this definitely makes me feel less turrible about them losing.

like every other draft, the better players will be at the top. it just means the likelihood of 2nd round picks being NHL players will be higher than usual. at least that is how i interpret it
