Yup. It would take a lot more than that to fix this team.

Especially when you overvalue the current roster and weak prospect pool.

Too much doom and gloom with you lot, Boeser is staying Myers is staying (2nd best Dman on team) JT will be moved only if the deal is beneficial to the Canucks, all this speculation and hand wringing is for not.

Why? I mean, once you get past the fashionable ridicule and insults, he's actually a very good defender that can handle big minutes. Those type of guys don't grow on trees, especially righty's.

It's fun to poke the whiners at times. Other times you just have to wonder how people can whine so much.

I think if they can bring someone in and move Myers salary they will.

He's signing in EDM.

If he wants a sh!tty life. I guess so. I spent last week in Edmonton for business. What a truly miserable town

You get impressed, way to easily.
- Reubenkincade

This team is rock bottom. And it starts with the core. I want Boeser moved more than any other player. If they acquire Kuzy for free it will make Brock expendable and he can be dumped for a second or a decent D prospect. Yes the team still sucks but it would be a start. And when is the last time a player chose Van? 2010? It would be a great start for the new GM

I have found over the years that once the criticism gains popularity it because a constant pile on.

And yes I agree that if they do bring somebody in then Myers would be moved, but only because he has the best chance at moving. It should be OEL being moved, Myers as Loader stated is a good defenceman.

After OEL?

If Hughes is the best dman on this team, it is in big trouble.
I don't care who thinks otherwise, I am never going to be convinced this team can win with him and "the Rake", as your supposed top players.

They need to add a top4 to the equation still, my real problem with the giraffe is the contract. Same could be said for OEL but i like his defensive game more and hes more physical than Myers which the Giraffe should be embarassed by. Anyway, trade someone for a a top4 d or sign one. Setting themselves up for failure by leaving it, bit i dont think they will

It sure does, one man's sadness becomes everyone's.

OEL has a worse contract but is the better player. They just don't have enough defenders. Lots of teams don't, there just isn't enough to go around it seems. Also management likes OEL.

Canucks need at least 2 better top 4 with better contracts.

The core stinks and fans are blinded by homerism. Thankfully, the new regime knows the core won’t cut it.

Just because you female dog the most or loudest doesn't make you right 😆

In your case, normally it's you just looking back to see how wrong you are.

I do love the Donna hot takes though. 😉

Friedman - I think the Canucks are trying to find a market for OEL but he does have control.

To me, it reflects the lack of depth on defense.

Contract outweighs the player. You will hear the exact same thing every summer and every TDL until it equals out or he's bought out.

OK, fair enough. But he's probably getting top 4 minutes on most teams. In my view, the lack of depth has more to do with other factors below him on the food chain, not where Myers slots into the lineup.

Prohockeyrumors believes Miller could become a King and LA gives up 19oa, Kupari, Brock Faber.

I'd say that's slighty more than what the Rangers offered. Fits more Vans needs at least.

Game Day! And we've also got a new 3-on-3 league making its debut this afternoon, with a couple of former Canucks in the mix...

In the new blog, I also ponder Buffalo's acquisition of Ben Bishop's contract and wonder if Kevyn Adams sold too low on his available cap space?

You have to add a sweetener and/or take on $ to move OEL. No other way around it.
